Reward: Sentry (Yellow)
Deadpool's Fun Fact about Sentry: I really had to dig through the archives for this one - did you know that back in the day Sentry used to be a beatnik? Beret, dark glasses, little goatee and lots of spoken word poetry dealing with the agony of the human condition. After getting some mellow criticism from Allen Ginsberg, he burned his beret and hid his creative talents in a stack of handwritten journals that he later published anonymously online, to critical failure. Now he posts angsty and insipid Twilight fanfic, and seems to be better received for it, at least by the Twihard crowd.

Reward: Punisher (Red)
Deadpool's Fun Fact about Punisher: Frank Castle, part owner of White Castle, author of the pilot script for the hit television show Castle, was once caught streaking butt-naked through the grounds of Windsor Castle, broke out of the wizard prison Azkaban where he was imprisoned for trying to sneak into Hogwarts Castle....you seeing a theme here? A sordid castle-related history that can be traced all the way back to medieval times where tapestries show "Francesco Castellan" laying siege to an unidentified castle with an array of strange weaponry that would look suspiciously familiar to us today. So the real fun fact about Frankie? He's got a time machine stashed away somewhere, and I'm gonna find it.

Bet you didn't know that Blade also races Formula 1 cars (but only on cloudy days) and has come 1st place in the Monaco Grand Prix. It wasn't beer or wine in the trophy cup that day, let me tell ya.

Captain Marvel** (15), Spy (10), Soldier (10)

Reward: Wolverine (Yellow)
Deadpool's fun fact about Wolverine: Logan actually started his X-man career in the kitchens of Xavier's school for gifted little annoyances. He had a series of attachments that were somewhat more versatile than mere claws - a whisk, slotted spoon, a garlic press, an array of knives for various chopping needs, and even a rolling pin, though that last one was a bit of a horror when it came bursting out of the back his wrist. The sous chef vomited for at least an hour on seeing THAT. Anyway, Wolverine was a terrible cook despite his attachment advantages, and so was "promoted" to being part of the X-Peoples.
Day Five:
That Guy From That Place -
Magneto** (15), Subject (10), Subject (10)

Under The Sea -
Wave 1 Subject (20), Criterion (22), Control (25), Empiricist(28)

Wave 4 Thor**** (130), Black Panther*** (132), Sentry*** (131)

Crash of the Titans -
? (270) - Nick Fury Required
Rewards legendary token.

Reward: Human Torch (Green)
Deadpool's Fun Fact about the Human Torch: Back when Johnny first got his powers, he didn't have as much control over the on and off switch - in fact, anyone could trigger it any time they wanted, as long as they were within earshot. This resulted in some hilarious pranks by Ben Grimm sneaking into his bedroom at night and whispering "Flame on!" to set Johnny's bed on fire, shouting "FLAME ON!" through the bathroom door when Johnny was taking a shower, and even once when Johnny was on a date right before a makeout session Ben drove by screaming "Flame onnnnnn!" out the window - causing Johnny's car to ignite. Fun times. Slightly less fun when, mid battle as Johnny was swooping around all fiery and stuff, and Doctor Doom yells out "Flame off!" Yeah, he's probably pretty glad that he was able to get that all sorted out.

    Ok. Thanks.
  • Was about to say I've never pulled a 4* taco in my months of playing, and I get one today! I mean it was 10k ISO, which isn't the best, but I'll take it

yes, I think its unfortunate that they put 4*s on 10K iso that you can literally get any Wednesday that you want to play LRs. 4* iso should be overwhelming - 50K or something imo, but its not, so I'm still happy when I pull it icon_e_biggrin.gif

Let's just hope they don't add a 20k ISO option as a Legendary 5* pull!

sometimes things are implemented that benefit other people who are at a different place than you are. when they changed the pvp scoring system I could not hit 1K and took me a couple of months to really build out my roster and get proficient with shields and now last season I hit 1K 8 out of 10 events. when it was first implemented I never considered quitting. yes I would have liked to have been able to take advantage of those early events more but whatever - excel at the level you are at and get better. that's what a progressing game is all about. keep in mind progress in a game like this comes 2 ways - time or money. to progress very fast you can do both at rapid paces. your choice. otherwise be patient and enjoy the journey.

This. I'm rounding out my 3* roster (~12 166'ed, with two more cover maxed), but I haven't placed in the top 100 in a PVP in three or four seasons, and have pretty much given up on PVE grinding (I did finish high enough in the Quicksilver and Vision events, but again, that's some time ago). There are definitely ways of building a solid roster, and for people like me, it's to stay persistent and collect as many tokens as you can (that and the DDQ are how I improve my roster).
  • My vault sucked, only got 2*... until i got Kingpin a minute ago icon_lol.gif

Now i only need the HP to add him tho icon_cry.gif
  • Taco'd today's daily required character that I didn't have for the second time this week a.k.a. the second ever. Hah. Thanks patch.

Legendary battle is lvl 270 CMags Vs Directorl Nick Fury.

I'm happy to say my lvl 190 4/5/3 Nick took him down on the 2nd attempt. Don't let him get red or blue obviously and you have a chance.

And even if he does get enough Red or Blue, they are variable damage powers and may still be survivable. On my second attempt, I ate a red for about 2500 damage.

Magneto power strengths are roughly (if I remember correctly):
Y: over 700 in Protect tiles
R: 500-something for each TU tile destroyed
    B: Over 1000 a swap

EDIT: GMadMan040 posted the actual values in General Discussion: 756 protection, 417 for destroys, 1140 per swap.

That panicked moment where Black Panther manages to unleash 2 consecutive Rage of the Panthers on you.

Which each turn take only one health because you have so many Falcon protect tiles out.

And then your Cap.Amer. takes him out with 2 Red shields and enough blue also to chip away at the other enemies.

    It's the small things...

    ***

Followed by that moment where you accidentally use both your Blue CapAm stuns on the one character (by which time 4or actually ends up causing you a some damage) because you are so proud of yourself for showing off on the forums and not concentrating. icon_mad.gificon_lol.gif
