You don't join a main bracket until you select an end time. The amount of people in your bracket should be in a red band above the black band that states how much time is left in the event. It is easiest to just check the last post in the thread, to see what the latest info someone has provided. If the time zone settings in your user profile are correct, you should be able view the time the person posted, to see how current their info is. There is a possibility of multiple brackets filling side by side, so join a "fresh" bracket at your own risk.

Useful info to provide

1)Time slice you are in
2)Current amount of people in bracket
3)Leader in bracket with amount of points
4)Time you joined the event, if it was not right before posting in the thread.

    Slice 1 just filled at 7:48am est. I joined at the beginning. Edit: bracket 1 of slice 1 I should say.

    S2 vet bracket is fresh currently at 45 players with Insipid as leader @2587. Would've reported sooner but was taking care of business on the throne. icon_redface.gif

    Joined Slice 3 as I didn't want to wait much longer. The bracket I joined has 517 people in it, but I can't confirm it's a Vet bracket. Kinda checked out the last couple of PvE's and might have gotten thrown in a lower effort bracket.

    edit: The poster about 6 hours ago said slice 3 was at 572 people, so maybe it's possible it rolled over and a new one opened and has 517 people in it, but I have a feeling that's not the case.
