Mystique - Cover Her Now, Or Wait?

I've got Mystique sitting at 3/4/2. Optimal build appears to be 3/5/5. I just got a purple and a blue cover (putting her at 4/5/2 if I use them both). I assume I should use the blue, but should I also use the purple while I wait for the others? I could see myself ending up with some random build that's sub-optimal for awhile. Is there any reason why I shouldn't utilize the covers I have in hand? Does pushing the purple past 3 make it somehow awful? I wouldn't think so - it looks like it steals some AP. Now I'm rambling..

    Other than IM40's yellow and OBW's purple I can't think of a single other character where it's better to sell off a cover than have a sub-optimal build until you get the other covers.

    I would just do it! I think it mostly comes down to your style of play and who you choose for each battle. I personally love Mystique's purple (or pink, as I might be color blind and don't see it purple lol) and stealing 1 AP of each whenever the other team makes a match. I say, build characters to your preference since you need to make it work for you. I have a lot of characters that are not built the way majority opinion thinks and they work great for me (and I think the devs want the to be the case too).

    If you're at 3 purple covers, getting an extra purple won't help you that much (she just steals an additional color). If you manage to get another purple to put her at 5, then you get an extra turn on the stun duration. You might find that rather handy if you use her fairly often. The covers happened to fall 5/3/5 for me before I managed to get 2 more blue covers, but I did enjoy having 5 purple while it lasted.

    If you don't use Mystique very often, then you'll probably get better use out of the 500 ISO.
