PVE Event Reward Disparity Discussion
This is something that's starting to wear thin on me a bit lately, and I wanted to discuss it. Why is it that PVE events have wildly varying time frames for competition versus PVP events, yet they all seem to use the same reward scale for placement for covers?
IE, it seems all PVP events have the same length of time for competition, and the rewards are placed equally as a result.
Meanwhile, in PVE you can have Juggernaut Heroic which is only 3 days, and has the same cover reward amounts as Prodigal Sun, which is 7 days. You do of course get a chance at more event tokens, but the progressions and placement awards feel the same, making the 7 day events feel like a complete drain.
I know one concern is people timing to join fresh brackets for optimum placement later in the event, but there has to be some kind of work around to get some kind of balance on what happens with the PVE rewards.

Story modes, even a 2* roster can take a top spot to get covers and work on their transition. Those same rosters may be hard pressed to get anywhere in PVP.
As for time differential... no clue.0 -
I agree that 7 day event-end and progression rewards should be better than 3/4 day rewards. doesn't make much difference to me since I don't play pve much any more but it would make sense.0

I don't think the length of the event should have a bearing on the placement rewards, top 10 (or whatever) is still top 10 for that event.
Progression rewards should, and are, adjusted accordingly.0 -
Progression rewards are adjusted with the length of the PVE event but I'd hardly call them "adjusted accordingly".0

I believe part of this is the issue that people can hop in a later "Fresh" Bracket and scoop covers for much less effort, and I understand that not needing to be rewarded -more- in anyway.
However, you really don't think maintaining placement over a 7 day event should have a more sizable reward than a 3 day one? Keep in mind the time commitment PVE requires if you're doing the full run of the event.
Ideally, they could just take the existing 7 day events, break them into separate 3 day events (just cut a sub, those things are BLOATED), and still maintain the story flow, but have two blocks of earnable "3 stars". This might affect the "essential" format somewhat though, and I have no idea what problems that might cause for tracking progression. It's not an easy fix, but at the same time, I think this lack of compensation for long term effort is part of what leads people to shun PVE after a point.
At least we're getting legendary tokens.0
