Progression rewards scores / shields - PvP
I'm pretty sure we need to lower the number required to get some high level progressions rewards in PvP . Reaching 2400 seems like a impossible feat now that you can't target shielded people anymore. Just went trough the no holds barrel event and i had a hard time just getting to 700, I would always get attacked for 40-50 and i would never be able to attack anybody higher then me to gain points out of it.
Before it was possible as you would attack people who were shielded and go on from there , you wouldn't get a retaliation so you would generally keep the points you would earn , however now everyone you attack will eventually retalitate as you are now the highest ranked person , thus losing a good portion of the points you earned if not all. Also since there is almost no free points anymore ( you can't attack a shielded person without him hitting you first then shielding )it generally makes the people who can afford shields lost to people who can. I would be able to afford most shields before the price changed but now , i can't spend around 300HP at a chance to get first place and earn a 1/3 of that back.
That said , all I would want to happen is either to have shielded people become targets again or the progression reward scores necessary for later rewards be reduced significantly.

Or how about just getting rid of losing points for being attacked? That's why I can't progress in any of the tournaments. Last night during one of the lightning rounds I was attacked and defeated 12 times while I played a round. 12 f*cking times! That is just plain ridiculous.
You already have a system in place where the higher you go, the less points you are getting, and people can still leapfrog you in the standings, especially when you are not playing, and there are enough people playing that it's not like everyone is just going to clean up on prizes. Adjust the progression and award levels if need be, but at least people could play and still feel like they are getting somewhere. It's not like people with three 1 star characters are going to climb to the top of the standings, but at least they could get high enough to get some decent rewards, and slowly build up to better and stronger characters along the way.
I certainly can't make any progress in these tournaments. It's 1 step forward and 2 steps back for every match I enter. I had to drop a bunch of hero points just to salvage a top 75 finish to get a few 2* star Wolvie covers. I was in about 50th place and shielded, and still dropped all the way back to the 90 to 100 range just by other people playing and being leapfrogged in the standings. Developers still get their money by folks still needing Shields. Game feels more fair and certainly less cheap and frustrating. Players actually earn some rewards and are happy. What is there to lose? I would certainly spend more money on the game if they did something like this.
Oh, and then maybe we could actually get somewhere in the meaningless (as it stands) Shield Versus training. I got all the way up to the 950 reward, and due to losing points by being attacked constantly, and not playing it as a result of losing ground, I'm all the way back down to 631!0 -

I've been thinking this for a while now, even mentioned it a couple of other threads. Losing points is one of the most frustrating things about this game (not the only frustrating thing though!) I think they need to get rid of the link between the rankings and rewards lists so that if you lose it will still lower your ranking but the level you reach on the rewards table is safe. That way I believe players without any maxed heroes (me) will still be able to crawl steadily through the rewards and as they get stronger they can begin to challenge for higher ranked positions. Obviously SHIELD Training is different and the system has no business being in there in the first place since the rankings are meaningless and all there is a rewards ladder - just let us climb it!0
