A GOOD day in MPQ

and boy did I need it. Scored top 5 and 3 hood covers from NHB, ground out a bunch of levels on the lightning rounds (too tough to score any tokens today but remember my name boys you'll be seeing me up there soon) and topped it off with a first place finish in Oscorp. Most of my bracket seemed to give up early and I barely played it myself, judging from what I saw on the thread my top score of around 8500 is comparatively paltry. But it did the trick. Winning takes some of the sting out of the recent troubles we've been going through with the game and I'm feeling pretty good for now. Have a good night everyone!

I think top score for my group was a massive 12k. He was the only one who got a daredevil progression reward, second place was 7k. Nice haul though, well done.
  • Thanks Mon!
  • NHB? Jeez, stop with the acronyms.
  • In the past, I used to keep telling people to stop over-abusing acronyms, and give a damn in typing out actual names and all. If you couldn't be bothered to type out actual words, why did you even bother to type anything at all.

After a long while, I just gave up and eventually joined in the crowd too, and started using stuff like ****, FO, STFU, GTFO, SOB, MFer, and the like...

Wow your mother must be so proud! Will MPQ be sending you a trophy to put in the living room? I reckon they will send ya a big shiny one...
  • My Oscorp division had NickFury as the winner at 12K+. I bagged myself a daredevil that I fear will go to waste along with my Dr Doom because of lack of HP. Considering buying 600HP just to keep them both but I hate just having single cover heroes in my roster. They don't have any use at all.

An just so this isn't just all about ME. Congrats to you and anyone else that got a reward they wanted.

Yes it was! I was first (for the second time) in my bracket and I won three hood covers and one green XF Wolverine !!! (completely useless as is only my second icon_razz.gif)

I work for an organisation that are absolutely obsessed with using acronyms, it drives me crackers. The trouble is, like you say, you end up sliding into using them in time, a little part of me must die each time I type FFS lol.

Still, I probably prefer acronyms over portmanteau's... icon_mad.gif

Well it's another step on the journey towards a maxed 4* right? Good job!

Not to worry, people will shut up about Thorverine's funbalancing some time mid-2015.

I want Nite Owl in the game synergizing with ***Wolvie so we can have Patchowly. Mercifully, they don't own Nite Owl.

Correction - they have a huge use. I missed out on getting a DD cover in his release tourney and thus didn't get access to several missions this time around. So I keep all my covers, and my 2-cover IW paid off during the Hulk event. Even at level 42, I was still able to beat the 240's (occasionally).

To the OP, grats, you're heading towards the big times (in the context of this game, at least).

Yeah man I'm feeling it, thanks!!!
  • Congratulations to the OP! It's always nice when you get a streak of good luck/things that go your way. I'd advise enjoying it while you can, though. Those streaks come far and few between.

Yeah that's the problem I think. There's has to be continuous opportunities for progression or I see myself getting bored quickly beating my head on a brick wall

Jejeje thanxs! I hope he gets super buffed to a level where he can win any other 3* or 2* just with two covers and being level 34 icon_razz.gif

And of course, now I have the possibility of spending a ton of money and buy 8 covers for 2500 HP each icon_e_biggrin.gif

Yeah you could but DONT heh heh. My Wolv is 1/2/2 at the moment and hasn't seen a drop of ISO so he's got a way to go too.

Congrats, Crazyeyes! I was in your bracket, and you were #1 from the beginning. I finished top 10 after realizing it wasn't worth it to me to try for the 10K progression reward. I just cracked 5000 points for the (I think) 50 HP reward.

And just to join in the sharing of happy news, I finished top 5 in NHB for 3 Hood covers and managed 3 Courageous tokens from 2 Punisher rounds. Yay!

sweet!! I didn't notice anyone from the forums in our bracket, didn't it seem to you that nobody was really trying? I know I didn't play for like three days straight and my position didn't change until the very end. Even then it was super easy to get back the top spot and 2 & 3 didn't push or challenge in the last few hours. The 5000 ISO was awesome, put two more levels in my Punisher.
