Reward:She-Hulk (Red)
Deadpool's Fun Fact about She-Hulk: It took some threats, some bribes and one well-timed punch in the snoot to some college kid, but I managed to track down an online persona known as "Jenny Greenskin" who, it turns out, writes some pretty heady fanfiction about Harry Potter and Star Trek. There's even a crossover episode where Will Riker and Professor Trelawney... oh, well, you can fill in the rest. This "Jenny Greenskin" is, of course, none other than our very own Jennifer Walters! If I were a bad man, I would totes blackmail her with this. As I'm a good man, a hero in fact, I'll just tell everyone instead. Hey, you don't get to question my moral judgements.

Deadpool's Fun Fact about Deadpool: Whoa, I think this is what they call "meta" these days or something. Or maybe that's something else. Like I can keep up with all that ****. You want fun facts about me? Hell no, kids! Daddy Deadpool doesn't tell stories about himself!
What? Oh, fine, don't quiver your lower lip like that. It makes me want to rip it off or something. I'll give you something, okay? Just stop tearing up - come on, here's a handkerchief. Sure, it's been used a couple of - okay, lots of times, but that's mostly for blood.
Ah. Well... I attended Juilliard... I'm a graduate of the Harvard business school. I travel quite extensively. I lived through the Black Plague and had a pretty good time during that. I've seen the EXORCIST ABOUT A HUNDRED AND SIXTY-SEVEN TIMES, AND IT KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE IT... NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT YOU'RE TALKING TO A....oh, wait, that's Beetlejuice.
Whatevs, readers. You get what you get.

Wave 4 Doctor Doom*** (130), Elektra**** (132), Squirrel Girl*** (131)

Reward:Gamora (Black)
Deadpool's Fun Fact about Gamora: She's...not around, is she? Because last time I started talking about Gamora, she ended up being right behind me at the Marvel water cooler. Talk about embarrassing - I was telling Stan - YOU know Stan, right? He and me are buds. He and I. Whatever. Anyways, listen, Gamora talks big and is, like, totes "The Entirely Totally Most Dangerous Deadly Disastrous Woman In The Universe Galaxy Whole Space Thing" or something, but I happen to know that she has a French Poodle named Floofles and gets her manicures at Vivi's Salon down on Eighth Street. Vivi's also does these really awesome tiny mugs of coffee that have whipped cream and cinnamon on top and - hey, what are you looking at? I JUST HEARD ABOUT IT, THAT'S ALL! Gosh, you lot are so nosy!

Wave 4 Invisible Woman**** (130), Beast*** (132), Storm*** (131)

Reward:Black Widow (Purple)
Deadpool's Fun Fact about Black Widow: Ah, yeah, well, Nat and I go way back. Sorta. You know, you meet up one day, eyes lock across a crowded room of corpses that you totally didn't kill - well, not all of them, you know some people just need a little stab - and you become frienemies instantly. It's not like we WANT to fight or anything, it's just that I like to do whatever I want and she kinda doesn't want me to do whatever I want when she sees me trying to do it. Honestly, it's like she's my mother or fussy older sister or something. Just one that I, you know, try and kill every so often. It's not SINISTER or anything. Whatev, readers. A fun fact about Natasha? She's totes not from Russia, you know. Ancestry dot com org whiz whatever is really handy that way. Turns out most of her ancestors came from Wales. No, not whales. There's no h in it. Don't TALK to me about whales, okay? Yeeesh. Anyways, she fudged her background in order to seem more exotic in her resume. Wait until she gets really drunk, the ol' Welsh accent comes out. It's awesome. Can't understand a WORD of it, but it's awesome.
Day Five:
That Guy From That Place -
Hawkeye** (15), Assassin (10), Assassin (10)

Under The Sea -
Wave 1 Soldier (20), Lieutenant (22), Pyro (25), Spy (28)

Third Time's The Charm -
Black Panther*** (74), Ragnarok*** (70), Doctor Octopus*** (71)

Dat Required Character -
Wolverine** (64), Black Widow** (60), Bullseye** (63)

The Big Enchilada -
Wave 1 Empiricist (99), Criterion (100), Control (105)
Wave 2 Luke Cage*** (112), Psylocke*** (111), Magneto*** (110)
Wave 3 Control (122), Control (121), Control(120)
Wave 4 Wolverine**** (130), Deadpool*** (132), Daredevil*** (131)

Reward:Loki (Green)
Deadpool's Fun Fact about Loki: Jeez, man, it's hard to come up with stuff for a trickster god that's worse than **** he's actually done to himself, you know? Want to upset him? Ask him about his kids some time. heh. Right, so let's see...nope...nope...nnnnope, eh, boring, nnn-wait, here we go. Loki's got a WHAT?! Where!?! Who writes this stuff, man? That's nasty! Oh wait, it's me. Heh. Let's file that one away for Deadpool After Dark. Ummm....okay. Poor ol' Loki, you know he was in a glam band back in the early eighties, right? Loki and the Frost Giants. He was the main singer and lead guitar. Had a couple of his pals on drums and keyboard...really wasn't good to see. They couldn't play, of course, awful at it. Always breaking the instruments, and whenever he got booed Loki would be all "I AM A GOD!" and the crowd would be all like "YOU SING LIKE A HARPY!" and he would be like "WRONG MYTHOS, CRETINS!" and they would be all "WHATEV, YOU SUCK AND YOUR HAIR SUCKS AND YOUR OUTFIT SUCKS AND YOU'RE JUST TOTES SUCKAGE!" and Loki would be all crying in the dressing room after the show. The crowds were wrong though - some of those outfits were pretty sweet.

No weirdness this week, or at least not yet. Got a migraine kicking me repeatedly in the right eye-socket.

With DD red as the reward yesterday, it sounds like you matched his tile.

Today's Doombots-into-HT setup is quite annoying. Torchie comes out with 28 black AP. Inferno time! Then you've got Elektra & Doom waiting in wave 4 to use up any black left.

Which is why you always end a wave with a power and collect enough AP to down the complete next wave before moving on.

I actually preferred him to drain all their ap. had a couple cap blue protects out already and covered/matched the attacks before too long anyway. black is ok to let torch use to me. i'll block panther/doom/cage/Cyclops/xforce, but i'll let torch take it. he did 3 in a row on me today (3 consecutive turns) and it hurt for about 2-3 turns. meanwhile he not only drained black but all the other ap that they had and matched during those turns, so it basically reset their ap to zero for me. I just had to take a little damage, but not too much with protects already in place.

I didn't have nearly enough AP gathered in wave 1 to pull that off today. The board wasn't very favourable, and I still run 2* BW + 2* Storm, and they're squishy. Sometimes I have to spend some AP in wave 1 to make sure they survive into the later waves. I stomped wave 4 with no worries as usual.

    My Gamora's now 5/5/3 icon_e_smile.gif
  • Mine is 1/1/1 now!

    Woooooo!
  • Double dipped gamora black. One from taco.

I personally always try to prioritize blue, purple, and then green/yellow, mostly in that order, specifically because of the enemy AP issue.

If nothing else is going my way, I tend to end up with at least a couple OBW purple moves to begin waves 2 & 4, which essentially **** the opposing team regardless of how everything else has gone...

Even on the worst days (read: ninja-palooza), I've usually got 3-5 enemy moves before I have to start worrying about anything beyond match damage...

My roster is much more developed now than when DDQ first started... I had 2 fully covered 3* then, now I have 31 (but not all balanced). That being said, I still use StormNeto on a daily basis for the Enchilada. Hood as third wheel, except for when Teisatsu are about, then I bring Cage. Both are prefect StormNeto compliments. Aside from a bad board on Teisatsu day, I rarely finish with more than a modicum of damage received.

Hopefully when the every-fifth 4* node/level/map comes out it will be just slightly scaled up from this such that it will be similarly considered a task rather than a challenge. Hopefully. Can't wait to see what all this PX blue hubbub is all about. icon_e_wink.gif
