PvP passive losses

Looking for info regarding points lost v. Points gained in PvP. Not an easy search for sure.

What I am curious about is when I see that my team was defeated and I lose 5, 16,.21 points what did the winner get? Retaliation is separate for sure because some of these jokers are worth 1 point on the rebound.

    If you are over 1000 points, they gain what you lose.
    If you are below 1000 points, you only lose a fraction of what they gained. If you are at 500 points you lose 500/1000 = 50% of what they gained, so their point gain is twice what you lost.

    So there's quite a few max rosters out there hitting me for 10 points? Cute.

    If I see that i'm losing 5 points for a fight, I'll definitely whack that guy back cos he'll be worth alot of points to me!

    It's possible that you hit the guy previously and he's just retaliating against you. Not something I'd do though as it's not worth it. And I run the risk of the guy hitting me back for high points unless I'm shielded

    There was a thread about this back around V79. The mechanism is ELO, with power of 400 and K of 75. Try this thread for a précis.

    I put together a spread sheet so you could see what happens. As we don't have the opposition's points, you have to enter your starting points and guess his until it shows the points you lost.
