Swapping Essential Characters

I've noticed since yesterday that I can sometimes carry over the lightning round essential character into the main PVP event and vice versa. Has worked for both Made Man and Teenage Riot using Vision/KK in the lightning rounds and lighting round essentials as the middle character in Made Man/Teenage Riot. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. I haven't figured out what conditions allow it. I use Iphone5. If anyone else has seen this and can figure out the exact conditions, it could be super helpful when the essential is lousy.

    yep, I noticed that too, and reported the bug to the devs.

    I haven't tried to start a match, probably the game will let you know that you need the essential character?

    Anyway, it's really weird... steam version here.

    it seems that the bug will happen when the two "wheels" of the essential character are the same in both events (pvp and lr). At least, that's my impression.

    First, please don't report this as a bug. This is an amazing improvement to the game. I have these characters rostered, but for people who are transitioning, not having to use the loaner would be a big help.

    I have successfully played matches with the "wrong" essential character. Did quite a few of the lightning round matches using Vision and KK. I was wondering if anyone had noticed it in their retaliations.

    Don't know if serious but... yes, it's definitely a bug! It defeats the purpose of having a featured character. At least in the current format of the event(s).

    Although I agree with you: it could be interesting to see more events where one can choose to not use the (boosted) featured, and go for another character. Same as nefarious foes, etc.
