Character choice advice

So i may have this in wrong spot, buttt:
I currently have maxxed 2* ( thor, obw, storm, and johnny)
Am holding out on spending ISO on ares but have him and a slew of 3* barely covered ( 3* thor is 78) ahould i max ares and maybe magneto 2* or no?
Or just start focusing on 3&4*?

    I would recommend focusing on 2* just a bit longer until you have some 3* better than "barely covered". Ares is strong, but a total color match for Thor. 2* Magneto brings in some different strengths.

    Right now, I'd recommend you focus on collecting covers for various 3* and 4* until you have at least 10 covers in a couple of good ones, using all the HP you get on roster slots so you don't have to throw away anything you'll regret later.

    The general recommendation for three-stars is to wait until you have at least 10 covers for one of the better three-stars before starting the transition in earnest. If your two-stars aren't fully covered yet, it's probably too early to start working on your three-stars.
    Also, Ares is awesome and fills a different niche than Thor, so it's not a problem to have them both leveled.

    Collect and level 2* Storm and Magneto. Likely Black Widow as well. 2* Storm and Magneto allow you to take down teams you have no business even thinking about fighting, especially if you can bring Thor along with them. I've taken down level 395 teams more than once with that trio. Once you have at the very least Thor Storm and Magneto cover maxed and leveled, go ahead and work on 3* characters. But it wouldn't hurt you to broaden your capacity at the 2* level.

    yes and yes on ares and mnmags. I still use **mags and I have 8 at 166 and 10 more at 140. pair him with cap and witch and you end up with so much red/blue that you cannot lose goon nodes. ares is by far the most powerful and is required to maximize your pvp potential at that level. storm is a great pairing with mags and becomes very important too. thor/mnmags/cstorm is a very common big enchilada team. so yes and yes on ares and mags and work on storm when she comes in too. then, once you have all the critical ** guys up, then work on bringing your ***s up to 104 or so, no higher until you get a group mostly covered.
