Angry. Just about ready to quit playing

More than once I have been in the middle of a match when the app crashed. As a result, I lose points and my characters suffer damage. In this case, I was just about to win a match that was going to be worth 70 points, but instead I'm screwed.

I understand why there's no compensation offered. Otherwise, people could force close the app and claim it crashed. I get it. However, the lack of feedback I've received when I've submitted reports tells me that they must not consider this an important issue.

Out of everything that's happened in my 600+ consecutive days of playing, this is the one that's likely to turn me off the game.

It could be a memory issue with your device.

Have you tried making sure all background applications are closed before playing?
  • I had some crashes with my iPhone 4. They were less frequent if I shut the phone off once a day. Now I have a 6 plus and haven't seen any crashes.

I share your feelings. Nothing pisses me off more than those random crashes. They always happen the same way, right after the starting board has fallen in place. There is one thing I can say, I have played the game in three different devices and clearly the better your phone or tablet is, the less likely a random crash will happen.

I agree that I hate when that happens to (especially when my fiancé randomly calls me and it closes the game!) but don't give up! Your a major part of our alliance icon_razz.gif

We all experience things like this. Don't let it stress you out!

It used to happen to me more often. I cleared a bunch of memory from my phone, including almost 2 years worth of pictures (hurrah for the cloud) and it's been a lot better.

If my experience is any indication, it is most definitely a memory issue. I used to play on a Galaxy SII LTE, and the game used to **** out on me if I even turned off the screen. I was ready to cry in frustration. Then I got a new phone and it runs like butter. Get a new phone, holmes. icon_e_wink.gif

That's the ticket. My phone used to crash the game sometimes once or twice a day. I used to have some **** $40 phone, but once I upgraded to a Galaxy Avant (the cheapest galaxy) I havent had a hard crash since then.

It may be phone memory and OS and whatnot, but it would be awful nice if the game could take an on-demand "snapshot and freeze" of the current match/board/characters in case I had an app open up, a phone call, or a low battery. I'm not asking for anything that would let me break the game, but it would be nice if there were some way confirm, server-side, that I hadn't rage-quit.

I've only played on Galaxy phones, which are pretty robust, but on both, I've had an important game dump out on me at the worst possible time.

On Android 4.x, I was able to switch between open apps. In my G6's 5.1, it seems every time I switch between apps, I get MPQ to restart.

My issue was when it used to crash with the Steam version.

If it ever crashed for me it was right after the tiles fall but before it displayed the character moves in the top right and left. It would hang for about 2-3 seconds then crash to desktop, losing the match. Never crashed at any other point, always right at the start. I always felt that was something you could program against.

Granted it hasn't happened in a few months so if there was a persistent bug causing it it looks to be ironed out. But still, it would be nice if there was some kind of 3 second grace period. Too small to get a good feel of the board and quit because it sucked, but long enough to cover any load crash
