What's a good way to catch up on all these story lines? I really enjoy reading the newer stuff (Astonishing X-Men) but have no idea how to get my hands on the older storylines.
Buy the collected editions from Comixology or Marvel Online

I've been doing this. I actually think I've spent more on digital comics than I have on MPQ (and MPQ is what motivated me to read these.)

I only buy when those collected editions are on offer. Marvel, DC and Comixology do this quite frequently, so it's best to wait unless you really want to read the story badly. icon_e_smile.gif
  • I enjoyed most of the crossovers where the heroes were you know, heroes and worked with each other instead of fighting each other.

    Get marvel ultimate.

It gives you access to pretty much everything for the last 20 years up to 6 to 12 months ago depending on the series. Each week they roll in new issues.

Best place to start is possibly avengers disassembled. That kicks off the events that run through dark reign and end in Siege. Or you can just read 100 back issues of Deadpool.

Civil War was great until it wasn't. The ending where Cap betrayed everything he believed in - Liberty is worth dying for, because people might get hurt was a travesty. Especially when Goliath becoming the worlds biggest doughnut didn't phase him.
  • For me Annihilation (and the subsequent pahalnx conquest) was the best Marvel has ever produced. Lots of powerful characters clashing, some amazing art, a coherent storyline that didn't try to overcomplicate itself and some great, great human moments.

I love cosmic Marvel. unfortunately I kind of lost track after the Annihilators and have no idea where to pick it up again.

Unlimited was the best deal for me last year.
