    I toyed a bit with 5/4/4 and went back to 5/5/3, there are not enough good stun abilities out there. The only longer stuns are mBW (5 turns, a one star!) and Daredevil (7 turns but good luck triggering it when you actually need it). I almost had 3 turn stun bite me back because it's one turn shorter, while I didn't see that much benefit in 4 yellow.

    Now I had the opposite, it was a close game, and if yellow wasn't at 4 I would have lost.

    Can anyone provide some good teams that can hold up to and defeat C.Storm on defense? I have found that all of my Shield SIM and most of my PVPs are now teams containing C.Storm. Teams of Patch/Daken (and pretty much any other team with strike tiles) are getting killed rather quickly now by her yellow skill.

    1) Always kill her first
    2) Don't hit her with big attacks that won't finish her off
    3) Don't hit other people on her team until she's down
    4) Never, ever, under any circumstance, use an AoE attack that won't finish her off immediately

    The strike tiles are hurting you here, because every attack's going to trigger her yellow. Back when I was facing her a lot, I'd usually use Ares and pump him full of enough green to one-shot her. Nowadays I usually just wear her down until I can finish her off incidentally. Since I'm usually using Lazy Thor and Mags in PVP, usually I try to get her down to where being in the back for a call the storm will finish her off and catch her with it.

    You should be killing her off first. 3,000 hps is nothing to erase fairly quickly. Quit throwing down strike tiles that will trigger her yellow.

    You can't do anything to win on defense regularly and predictably. Certain characters (like Hood) can help, but she's pretty strong when someone who knows what they're doing is operating her, especially if they have a MN Mags and are feeding her blue.

    But I'm confused - you said her yellow is killing you - how would you know if it's when you're on defense?

    Just curious - has anyone else seen cStorm's yellow go postal when it shouldn't?

    In PvP, I just fought a team with a maxed cStorm so of course I focused on her first. When she was around 30%, I damaged her with a critical and triggered her yellow. Surprisingly, it did about 2k damage to my whole team, even though her 2 teammates were at 100% health.

    I'm assuming this is a bug of some kind. Has anyone else seen Storm's big yellow trigger when it shouldn't?

    Strike tiles will mess you up.
  • Recently made a careless mistake while fighting another cstorm. Matching red against her triggered her ability. So I was switching between hitting her and Ares and got her down to what I thought was enough to kill her with a wind storm and switched to whittling Ares. I finally match blue that 4th time and launch my wind storm! but she had 6 hp left... My entire team takes 6k+ and wipes.

    Is Ares the only 2* capable of tanking at least 2 colours for a maxed cstorm?

    I've done the same daibar. Schooled hard once puts that healthy fear into ya that makes you do the math the next time or revise the strategy. Mine was thinking wind storm would finish the team, didn't target the enemy c.storm, left her with single digit health, which wiped my mostly healthy team.

    On a different topic, I saw something about making her a pve specialist if she isn't used for pvp. Does the community consider 3/5/5 the best build for that? I find I almost never collect her green against mooks, and even less often fire off a green. Anyone used this and found it more effective?

    Pve is the only place I run c.storm and mnmags. Even though I only have a 2* roster, they already seem to do the best clearing pve nodes, too easily defeated in pvp on def.
  • Storm's yellow is a bit situational to my liking. It really depends on who you team her with.

    My storm is 5/5/3. Even post nerf, the green could still create a potential cascade. Bare in mind that the green also generate AP with the destroyed tiles. But of course, if i team her with covers with better green, even in the 2* realm there are many, her green will be rarely used.

    The addition to c.storm and mnmags has been either the required toon, or often a.wolvie. thus I'm usually eating green as optimally as possible with him for strike tiles instead of waiting for a lightning storm. Waiting for a **** ton of green to make that storm potent enough doesn't seem to work out very well for me vs mooks when wolverine is putting out the strike tiles and burst damage so much quicker.
  • problem with the yellow is it only triggers when you take huge hit. If it triggers the 50% damage you'll end up limping after that fight anyway. But with Cmag, Cstorm and Ywolfie, 3 squishy covers, it'll probably worth getter yellow to 5 as 20% max health hit could happen often, especially with the current pve events with crazy scaling per reset.

    When I use cstorm in BoP event, per fight she'll probably trigger her yellow once or twice top with the 20%. The fifty percent rarely triggers. Like you said, you wanna end the fight ASAP. So the "big" hits from opponents should not be firing so often to trigger yellow.

    One thing I remember is if both team has a storm and some squishy covers, the yellow 20% can ping pong till the 50% trigger for both teams until one of the storm die first. It's so amusing to watch. icon_lol.gif

    I have definitely seen that first hand. It's also a great way to walk out of the fight limping. lol

    I think the main push leading me down this line of thought is feeling like I have better use for green, and also that I always miss a countdown somewhere, so her yellow is definitely proc'ing already. I guess I'll just give it a try next time I start getting yellow covers. Worse case, I can just respec again if I don't like it.

    I would *like* to run ares with c.storm and mn.mags, but generally he's on my pvp teams. Even if he's in good shape, I need him to stay that way for upcoming pvp matches.

    I just got hit with a raging tempest in the Balance of Power PVP that did three times the damage it was supposed to do. Classic Storm should do 822 damage or 5480 if every team member is below 50%. I hate a nearly-full HP OBW with a Berzerker's Rage, causing a little over 3000 damage and dropping her to 5527. I didn't use it on Classic Storm, because she has low HP already so it would have been a waste to use the Berzerker's Rage on her. But instead of getting hit with 822 damage for the Berzerker's Rage move, I instead got hit with about 2400 damage to each of my characters. As if BOP didn't force us to use enough health packs, now we need the AI to get extra damage.

    Uh... Berserker's Rage? Yeah, you gave her a bunch of strike tiles and that's why the counterattack hit you harder.
  • Dude. Finish the storm first. This is like the second thing I learned in pvp. You don't leave her low and go work on a bigger guy just because Aoe or cascades can get her later, she WILL go Detonate on your ****.

  • Always: kill OBW/CStorm/Hood first. That would be my order of kill, anyway.
