    I've been at 1850+ for days... Same jerkfaces keep hitting me over and over again. Do I really need shields for the Simulator???

    I just got 2k, I put up a 3 hour shield when on 1983, just in time to avoid a drop of about 100. After a couple of hours (and 3 more attacks that unshielded would have cost me over 100), one more super-boosted quick battle for about 30 points, and now who cares what happens.

    There was a very limited pool of targets though. Apologies to anyone I hit more than once when it wasn't a retaliation. I thought in this event there weren't the same limits on who's available for queuing.

    :edit: I gave up on Devil / Dock / Carnage at about 1400, they just kept losing. So then it was Kamala, Witch, Cage all the way.

    :edit 2: Less than 2 hours later, already 250 points dropped. In the climb it's 3 steps forward, 2 steps back. And now I'm thinking of Opposites Attract. Curse you, MPQ.

    Maybe I should be happy I don't need the 2000 point progression this time...

    it wasn't any worse than normal. I'd assume people having trouble getting there are in a similar situation when they say "PVE node X is too hard", maybe its true, but its really not that bad.

    That might be the best approach, the past two seasons I reached 1900 then got beat down to 1800. I gave up on Carnage last season but I'll try your approach of shielding once I hit mid 1900's.

    Question on the shield, is the shield broken as soon as I enter a battle or after I win/lose? How quickly before I become a target on everyone's radar again after I break a shield?

    As soon as you enter battle. You get a prompt saying 'you are shielded, are you sure you want to break your shield?'. (something close to that).

    Usually if you are trying to hop, either wait out your shield, or give it 30 minutes or so. with the simulator waiting out the shield is probably the best since it's not like it's about to end anytime soon.
