Same here. I climbed from 700pts to 990pts and had basically one match to reach my goal. Then bam! Got hit for -130 points during the match that was supposed to be my last. After a long and tedious climb from 800ish points back to 975 I used my last shield available and waited for few hours before the last push. I did it, yay. But it was a close call with 5hrs left on the clock and no shields left whatsoever.

Lesson here? If you're one match away from 1000pts landmark, better play it safe, shield up pronto and make the last match a sure bet. Nothing is more irritating than running out of time & shields and blewing your chance at a 4* cover just because you got greedy.

I've been running two teams:

5/3/5 Carnage, 5/3/5 Jean, and 5/5/3 Hood; OR
5/3/5 Jean, 3/5/5 SW, and 5/5/3 Hood.


Ran a 5/3/5 Jean, 3/5/5 SW, and 5/5/3 4Pool for fun, but there are too many Hood teams running around.

Got to 900 pts with no real problems....went a little slower b/c I had to use daken/hood/mag.

The bracket is kind of dead(top 100 at 400 pts? ****?)

I am trapped deep in a slice 5 desert. 181st in my bracket has 1040. Any climb above 800 has been perilous. No one has any points and the vultures are circling.

At 975 now with 1 shield left. By far my most expensive 4* cover in months.

in slice 5 too...I will shield hop to 1000 but I'll have to stay up to 3am to do it barf

yeah it was rough....only 50 point matches but no one was 290/290/290 which was nice.

Quite surprised to see how hard it was to reach 1k for everybody... this event was the easiest I ever had for me.
Made a 1st climb to 700ish.. went to bed. When I woke up I was around 500-600 and managed to hit 1k without trouble and without the need of using a shield. Was attacked only once before hitting 1k.

Was using cmags/hood/loki, couldn't use anyone else anyway.. had a few d wins. Mainly fought cmags/hood/loki or doom instead of loki, 1 or 2 teams with JG.

I wish every pvp could be that easy...
