Porting characters to new phone?

I've recently switched phones. My characters aren't on my new phone. I use Google Play and figured they'd be stored on my account. I un-installed the app and re-installed, with no success. Please help!

    Was your game connected to Facebook on the old phone? If not, can you still access it on the old phone to sync it up with a Facebook account? That's the easiest/standard way to transfer a saved game. There's some support for linking to a Google Plus account as well, but I'm not sure if that is reliable or even still supported.

    It was strictly saved to Google Play. I do not have Facebook. I submitted a ticket. Thank you for the info.
