The 20 iso reward...again...
So, just as a reminder of this 'reward' structure, I beat six matches of Hell's Kitchen just now, including the three essential character fights. This was my second run-through, so each had either 3/4 or 4/4 of the decent rewards remaining.
And I got 20 iso on each of them.
20 minutes of gameplay, four health packs used, and I get 120 iso. Pitiful.
So this post is a reminder that when I need somewhere in the region of 650,000 iso to level up my roster, winning 20 at a time is not helping me much.

As much as I agree that your situation is really ****, that's honestly what DDQ and LR are for: Gaining ISO.
That said, I'd also appreciate it if they'd give out ALL the ISO/boosts rewards per node before handing out the 20iso rewards per completion. =/0 -

There must be a glitch or something with this sub-event, I have cleared each nodes twice already and I only received the second reward on one node. After getting slashed in the face by a red-feeding Wolverine (in 4 nodes!) the last thing I want to see is 20 ISO for my efforts.0

Jeez. Just did another six attacks of the character required fights, and won another six 20 iso. What a load of bull.0

I am so frickng angry. Another six attacks across the three nodes and still no rewards of 500 or 250 iso. Hate this rubbish. Another critical boost. Woop.0

I've come to the conclusion that these developers must be inept. After all the forum topics on this very issue, after releasing a lame video last month that said they are looking at this, after releasing so many patches and updates, this is still an issue. I have noticed that if you notice the pattern that rewards show themselves for, then start a match following that pattern, sometimes you can get a reward. But that's sometimes. Half the time you get nothing! I've even ground a node down to 1 and still haven't gotten a reward. At least if I grind a node down to 1 I should receive all the rewards as automatic compensation.
I don't think this is an issue that will make anybody want to leave, but it's an issue that seriously affects satisfaction, and I would expect that somebody would want to maintain user happiness. I mean, how does 1 point and 1/4 rewards even happen?0 -
Jeez you guys are a bunch of babies.Why should you be rewarded for grinding the same node over and over again? Just like anything, you have a risk of not getting what you want. Boo-hoo and all, but to say the developers are inept is way too far gone to value as solid opinion.
When you play the node again, you weigh the risk of getting a 20 iso drop against the reward of, say, a 250, the 100, or the critical boost drops that also have those spots.
Even if the 20 iso simply took the place of the first reward in a scale of 1/4 odds, you're betting with every attempt, health pack, and so on that you'll win that 3/4 chance.
Lets be honest, that drop in the bucket 350 iso isn't the reason the nodes exist, its to gain points. You get your points, expecting to be optimally rewarded every time is asinine.
Let me give you an example...
Lets say every node dropped every reward for your first 4 times playing it, and then 20 from then on. Discounting the boosts and stockpiles, you can expect roughly 850 iso per node.
There are 10 basic nodes per map, plus 3 bonus nodes. so 8500 + 2550 is about 11050 iso per map if you do every node 4 times.
To the guy needing 650,000 iso to fully level his entire roster, you would need to do a total of 60 node maps in order to achieve that much at the bare minimum, give or take a few thousand iso.
Thats with no other input to your gains, just off of map completion alone.
With an average of 6 nodes, that means you'll have to do a total of 10 week-long events to their bare minimum of 4 runs per node in order to get 650,000 iso. There's about 8 of those events out there, and thats not including the heroics or special ones (sims, gauntlets, DPvMPQ, ultron, etc). Within the span of one rotation, you'd have a fully leveled team.
4 games per node, 13 nodes, for 60 event maps.
Now then, for contrast, it would take a little over 8 mother lodes in order to match that same output. Mother-lodes are valued at about $99.99, so what you're telling me...
Is that you should more or less, get paid $20 for every time you full-clear a map. (13,200, so maybe like $17)
You should get paid almost $89 for full-clearing an event.
And you should get paid some $800+ for full-clearing 10 events?
Before you say its an unfair comparison, keep in mind health packs are free, regenerate naturally, and you can often expect about 8 to 9 every time you go into a node at minimum.
So for a cost of $0.00, you are demanding to be compensated with over $800 worth of goods with literally no risk unless you decide not to clear the node, which is personal liability.
Would I like to get the 20 iso drop eliminated? Sure, but its not realistically an optimal plan for the game's lifespan because then it becomes too easy to advance. There is no transition, you just maul down the rounds until you win everything and then just sit on it. As a player, you can choose to either risk it for the biscuit or not. If you roll the dice badly, that sucks for you.
If you roll the dice badly 6 times over, then it sucks even more for you, but after the 5th time of getting 20 iso the reward is no longer worth the cost of upkeep. Thats your own fault, after even just the 3rd time, that you are running low on health packs and have 60 or so iso to show for it. Thats the risk you chose to take knowing that it was a possibility.
User satisfaction? If you want an easy win, go play something like solitare. I'm personally, as a user, satisfied with my results. I'm not the kind of guy to grind a node 6 times and waste health packs for the last little bit of iso, then complain about it. If I want iso, I go do lightning round or DPD. I collect my (on average) 2500 iso per PvE node and keep scooting. Thats just me though.

If they keep the 20 Iso I'd like those two changes to be applied instead :
1) a clear representation of the % of chance to win a 20 iso reward instead of one of the four shown. As is the 20 iso is a bad surprise for the new player.
2) the 20 iso reward should not be prefaced by a "new reward" splach screen. It's kind of adding insult to injury . I'm sure most of the hate is fueled by all the unnecessary endorphin triggered by that splash screen.0
