    timGunn,

With a roster of 140s you should be able to hit 1k regularly using the weekly boosteds.

Try playing significantly earlier in the event, say with 24-12 hours left, and preferrably off peak. Figure our the strongest team of boosteds that you can field. Shoot for something that is at least 200/200/200. Play up to 800 or 900, and the use a 3-hour shield. Find two or three high value nodes for your last hop to 1k.

May take some trial and error at first. But with a deep 3* roster you can definitely get 1k.

^^ This, i learned all about this during this past season, and got 4x 1k's, it is satisfying. I am working on getting everyone to 140 at minimum, and 166 for a solid core. the iso/hp rewards for the placement and progression helps as well.

I've thought a deadpool weekly option might be a fun way to build the 4* rosters, while keeping the game fresh. Have an option similar to the daily, but make the reward a 4* cover or a boosted draw rate pack. Thoughts?

Your first step should be getting to 1000 PVP. With the boosted character and your level 140's, it should be possible (might require some HP investment on shields though).

yeah, i usually get to 700-800 towards end of event and then shield until end, i guess i have to get to that point earlier and then shield to let all the retals bounce off me and then "hop" up to 1000 and then shield again (or not! if i don't care about placement) - haven't been brave enough to try that yet!

My first 1k was super stressful. It was for antman and I got to 1k and shielded and within seconds I got hit. I was sweating bullets! Since they seem to deduct incoming attacks before adding new attacks, i would have missed it if it wasn't for finishing a few seconds early. But, it was worth it and it's the only interaction you really get with other players in this game, outside of ranking.

I always thought they should make separate pvp events for 1*, 2*, 3*, and 4* characters. If events worked like that it would't matter if they added 5* or even 6*, 7*, 8* characters. Everyone competes with like rosters, leveled closely. Rewards would be top earners get a cover in the next * and mid earners would get the current level. (so a top 2* player would get a 3* cover as a top reward and other 2*s for 100-250th, 3* would get a 4* as top reward and other 3* for 100-250, etc) Transitions from 2* to 3*, 3* to 4* would be a matter of playing long enough to build your roster to the next level. (4* to 5* and beyond would transition well too) Everyone would have to transition the same way, start grinding at your current level to do well enough to get you a reward that will put you in the next level. You can't really compete at that next level until you have rostered up enough guys on your current so you can compete at the next level.

That would fix the problems we see now plus it would give incentive for everyone to have huge rosters that they actually use. D3 would make more money because people would need large rosters (possibly more HP spent) and if you are competing in multiple * events at the same time that is more shielding you have to pay for (again possibly more HP spent).

Everyday Players would play against everyday players and whales could whale.
