Deadpool Fun Fact about Captain Marvel: Carol doesn't like to talk about it, but she actually has six toes on each foot. The sixth toe is actually more of a spur on the back of her heel, contains a rather wicked hook-shaped claw and is the bane of pedicurists everywhere. When somebody asks "Does the Captain have large talons?", you can now unreservedly and accurately say "Yes, yes she does." Don't you feel good about yourself?

Deadpool Fun Fact about Iron Fist: I was so rudely cut off in my last fun fact, I'm not sure if I want to do another. But, you know, for YOU, dear reader. For YOU. The man who calls himself the Iron Fist actually went through a variety of body parts before settling on "Fist". "Iron Abs" was considered too arrogant. "Iron Tush" made our test market of teenage girls giggle and blush. "Iron Face" would mean more headbut-type moves were needed, and "Iron Co<CENSORED>" Hey, wait, I was going to say Cocyx! WhatEVER.

Deadpool Fun Fact about Ragnarok: For a machine, he's REALLY bad at chess. I, like, tried to tell him how to play with my special edition My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic chess set, but he couldn't even get the pieces to move right. He kept trotting them across the board in any old way making little "wheee" sounds. As an aside, perhaps downloading every episode into his hard drive and programming him to watch them all day, every day, had a part in that. How am I supposed to know? I'm not a nerd!

Reward:Kamala Khan (Purple)
Deadpool Fun Fact about Kamala Khan: Wow, talk about a hard one to target - the current Ms Marvel doesn't seem to have a whole lot of really INTERESTING fun facts to drag out into the harsh light of day. I sat her down and interviewed Miss Khan for, like, seventeen hours. I had to glue her to the wall in order to do so, but these are the sacrifices I make for you, the reader. Mostly the conversation on her side after hour four was "Please stop talking, oh please please please stop talking." which is less than cooperative. I thought heroes were supposed to help people? Anyway, she has a couple of overdue library books, does that count?

This always manages to make me laugh
Not the most exciting week (only have 3 out of these 5) but the 2nd purple iron fist will certainly make up for it. Plus my first purple KK. Captain Marvel is always nice as well, especially since i picked up my 3rd red cover from a taco token as well (3/3/1 now)0 -

I think it helps that I write these about 5 minutes after waking up in the morning, before coffee or anything else that can allow me to edit my thoughts into something approaching normality.0 -
Love posts you made, especially the one on Iron Fist, Although some I don't really understand. haha.
I really can't wait for your post on the round where it will feature Deadpool cover! What fun fact will he tell us about himself?0 -
Woohoo ! I'll finally have my fist at 355 ! Just need the iso to bring him to 166 now0
-
yuck, 3* iron man blue? feels like a spit in the eye, otherwise IF and KK purples up this week is good for me.0

I just made it out of BE with 0 health missing. I'm astounded! This makes about 7 or 8 times I've beaten BE now! No ninja days of course. With the help of you guys in a DDQ thread a few weeks back, I discovered I love Magneto! MnMagneto purple gets me to a CStorm blue most of the time and then she wipes the floor! Brilliant combo. I've also stuck with 2* Torch because I love his cheap red that gives 25% back! I'm loving him in the PVE as well, 2600+ damage and getting the 2 reds back is lovely. Thanks for all the advice again!0

Switch HT with Thor and never look back. And Magneto's red is even better than Torch for ap return...
And I'm really excited about tomorrow and my 13th IF cover...0 -

Ahhh I use Thor sometimes with them, but not usually. I use Thor on Under the Sea, one Storm blue and one Thor green eliminates the whole second round. But I kinda got tired of Thor, he was my first reasonably covered 2*. Also I like to use Storm's green.
As for Mag red vs Torch red, I would call it a wash. Mags takes 14 AP to do 2131 as long as the enemy doesn't match the tile away. Torch takes 14 AP to do 2 fireballs at 1654 each = 3308 without a chance for it to be destroyed. Mags has a better chance at a cascade, but Torch has a chance as well. I think the deciding factor for me then is that Torch has a nice black power that Thormneto doesn't cover.0 -
Wintersmith wrote:Switch HT with Thor and never look back. And Magneto's red is even better than Torch for ap return...
I seem to be in the minority, but I prefer OBW to Thor paired with MnMags and CStorm for BE. Espionage accelerates both purple for Magneto's Polarity Shift (blue/red generation) and blue for Storm's Wind Storm (which should be your primary attack on waves 2 and 4), and provides the best defense in wave 1 by both delaying cooldowns and/or topping off health in the case that something actually goes off (on ninja days, I'm going to rely on either Polarity Shift cascades or luck with Magnetic Flux/Lightning Storm to clear up attack tiles).0 -
Hmm, you guys don't use 2* for BE? I thought stockpiling colours while he is taking out countdowns was the accepted normal strategy for this? I generally spend ages on waves 1 and 3 stockpiling then use 2* 's green and yellow to bring all characters on waves 2 and 4 down to 2,100 and finish them all with 3 blacks.0
-
There are a number of viable strategies for BE, even at the 2* level. My own go-to team is OBW + Thor + Storm. I recently upgraded 2* Thor to his 3* big brother (4/5/1). It only fails against ninjas if I get a bad board. Otherwise the Thor yellow into Storm green combination generates a ton of AP, combined with OBW purple to steal, leading to a wave 4 where the enemy never gets to move (double Wind Storm to start, Thor powers to whittle down, then a Lightning Storm to recharge and a final Wind Storm to finish).0

Pretty much to the letter, ^this.^
I will often use OBW's blue in waves 1 and 3 as necessary, but the rest is exactly the same system I use.
I do still contemplate switching out my 2hor for Mags, and will likely give it a run or two on a day when I don't need the card, but otherwise, "if it ain't broke..."
DBC0 -
Insanely lucky me
Got the IF today, and also got a purple cover of him from the vault: only had one purple before, now i instantly have 30 -
Does today count as a ninja day, or is it only the day with 6 ninjas instead of 3?
If it counts, then I beat my first ninja day today!
If it doesn't, I got my first IF purple today!0 -

Today is the worst of them, the Ninja/Muscle day, so major congrats!!!! With a 2* team, if even 1 threaten goes off with those attack tiles on the board, it can mean doom for your run!0 -

Not if you bring a 5 black cover Moonstone that can convert those attack and strike tiles to friendly. This is the only time I take her out of the basement to play with me.0 -

I did this with classic Bullseye's Lethal Improvisation. Have him at lvl 153 (5/3/4), works really great0
