So 1300... How to get there?

I have been reaching 1000 fairly easy in the last events, I usually dont bother to get to 1300, because that is hard, and very stressful buuuuut this purple Jean Grey is too good. So, right now I am sitting at 1184, in the last hop I tried 3 matches, but I got attacked in the third one (but I just lost the points of that match). My team is of course IMHB and the Hood and slightly leveled XDead. All the other teams are almost the same, some with maxed Xdeads and some with maxed Jeans.

My question is, now that I am at 1180, should I try to do two matches in the next hop and reach 1300 in that hop? Or should I just play safe and do one? There is A LOT of people playing for 1300 and the end of the season, because I can find a lot of matches for 65+ points. So, what should I do?

two match hops, always be queing for the bigger 60 pt targets, try to play for off times.

After 1100, you will notice that you are facing very very high level targets. You need to maximize your hops with the biggest targets possible. (min 50). Being in a popular shard with other high point alliances also helps because they are the ones creating the 50 point targets.

Ultimately, even the elite alliances are under tremendous sniping pressure, so they have to really quick short hops and try to work with other big alliances in their shard.

Boost, pick the softest teams you can find (Hulkbuster/Fist, Thor/Blade, the likes), make sure they are worth points to take you to 1300, do two fights.

It is easy to find fights for 65+ points, but all are IMHB with hood, Carnage, Jean. No blades, Thors at this level.

And boosting is dangerous because in the other team there is the Hood

If you bring a hood yourself I wouldn't worry too much about boosting vs. Hood, I've done that hundreds of times. Personally I'd just do 1 match per hop to ensure that you get the cover since you're there at 1180, just find 2 targets over 60 and boom there's your 1300.

I went from 1015-1325 in the last 20 mins of slice 1 this morning. Used 220 (282 boosted)HB, 166 IF, Loaner DP

If you don't mind the expense, do 1-match hops. It's safe and you won't have a problem given the potential queues in that slice (i skipped through you so I know where you are)

As far as boosting, I went +2 B/G, +2 P/U, +2 All against all 3 Hoods last hop, it's not a problem (yes I did 3 safely). I'm using Fistbuster so one, maybe two purples and hood is dead, don't have to worry about the drain too much. For you using your own Hood, it basically offsets and it will make life easier on you.

If you don't want to use all AP, use the +50% damage boosts on red/yellow or black/green. Anything to gain an edge and speed up the match.

Hopping is all about timing. Don't stay out too long and you'll be fine.

Well in the end I decided to be 'brave' and I did a two fights hop. The first fight was very quick, so I decided I could take the risk. And I got to 1300 and I got my fifth purple cover for JG

I am not interested in the points, so I left the team unshielded, and I was not attacked until like 20 minutes after I ended!!! I am 100% sure that If I would have needed a third match and I would have played that match after the other two without shielding I would have been attacked

But I think this event has been far easier than other times getting to 1300...
