PVE enemy levels, re Boosted Characters

So this DPvMPQ event was the first since community scaling went away where I only had one character (Cyclops) from my maxed group that was boosted. The result? Lower enemy levels across the board. My Essential nodes were about 20 levels lower than usual. The final, hardest node was about 60 levels lower than I'm used to seeing. Cyclops literally never came off the bench, because to use him would have been overkill.

I get the idea that enemy levels scale to your roster. In fact, I'm a fan. PvE was literally what got me through the 2* -> 3* transition, when PVP was Top 50 only and ruled by Sentry-bombing alliances. If stronger rosters had had a decided advantage in PVE as well, I would have quit the game long ago.

However, I don't get the logic of having an easier time when you don't have the boosted characters. It should be the other way around. I don't think enemy levels should take boosted characters into account.

Any thoughts from the masses?

If you only have the weak boosted characters events can be brutally hard.

So there is something to say about scaling based on boosted, but on the other hand if the good ones are boosted it might be too easy otherwise.

I'm not sure what the correct solution is, maybe something in between.
