1) the fact that cyclops was boosted in this event was very important. Super-leveled nodes go down much much easier when full blast does 12k per hit (and doom and If make great black batteries). Black-accelerated cyclops is powerful and fast enough to nullify villain + 2 feeder goon nodes.
2) deadx was actually less intimidating in the hulk/dino mode than 3* deadpool. Health is a wash, since 3* would have been overleveled, but 3*s powers re more dangerous. 4* purple hurts, but can be managed. 4* red almost never goes off as it is too pricey and dino soaks up red and green ap. By contrast, 3* red is almost impossible to deny at just two matches, and hits hard early on. 3* purple is easy to overlook until the ai has 12-14 purple because you were denying red and green. . .
3) I found the daken/kp/sentry mode the most annoying (in part because I used weaker characters there to save cyclops for later nodes). Daken could spam 5 blue for 4k+ at the end, and If you forgot to deny black then kp's fingerpokes add up quickly. And don't forget red, or you will eat a supernova.
4) shorter pve events lead to tighter scoring as the leaders don't have as much time to pull away with endurance grinding.
5) deadx seems fun, but not quite top tier. I look forward to using him more in 2016. . .

1. Very much agreed!
2. Doom, Cyc, IF made short work of that node.. IF nicked away dp's health, doom purple to 1 shot dino after DP was down, cyc black to 1 shot hulk.. rarely took damage in this node, or the Carnage/Oc/UP node
3. hated that node the most.. 3* Mags, Lthor, Hood worked well.. deny deny deny...
4. missed 12 minutes at the end due to a neighbor knocking.. went from 19th to 22nd.. less than 10k from 1st. If it is going to be a competition, this is the way to do it.
5. Boosted in heroic, 2 red covers are mean! Want more pls.0 -
I was debating whether I should use pink on IF or not to accelerate black. I decided against it because I figured using Dooms pink instead gives me 2 moves that can 1 shot. Im not sure if its better to have 2 moves or 1 really fast move. I used Doom/Cyc/Hood and was very happy.0

That is always an interesting tactical decision. Similarly, I often had to weigh the value of using an 8k full blast (unboosted) to drop a 5k villain that was the most significant tthreat on the board. Generally speaking, I think it's usually better to go for speed in both cases, but there are definitely times to be patient.0 -

These are the tactical decisions that add depth to the game and keep it interesting, at least for me.0 -
It was more fun, but the grind was very tight, might be useful to have a node on the main sub that disappears after every 12 or 24 hours. With 48 hour sub events that would give 1 node some extra grinding to help with the point spread a bit.
I enjoyed playing against different teams, why even have different pins / nodes if its just the same teams over and over again.
I found the hero sub to be harder than the villains sub. With that said, the carnage, doc oct, ultron prime match was nasty a couple times.
Jean grey was very helpful, especially on essential nodes, I like her as she brings enough to a match where if the essential isn't one you have covered well or just doesn't pair well, jean plus someone can be enough to make a difference.0 -

I've used buffed OBW and baby Hood with Gamora or Punisher for that node almost exclusively (saving Cyclops and Doom for other stuff too ). It takes a bit longer maybe, but not much, and only a big cascade for the AI could make them lose.0 -
I LOVED this event. Missed the end grind of first Sub, got wrapped up in household duties, mowing the lawn, getting my daughter's PC setup and patched, etc, and the local Jazz Festival. I missed one complete clear on Sunday... due to church and family obligations, ended up rank 127 in my bracket with 50K points... and I didn't even need Yellow KK. So sad, but oh well, family and responsibilities came first, at least I did get one cover as an alliance reward.
My go-to team was Cyclops, Doom, SW. SW feeds Doom purple, Doom takes blue and feeds Black to Cyclops, Cyclops takes Red and Yellow and smacks the **** out of everyone. If you gather enough Purple, and there was no trap tiles because of cascades, then you do one more match and use SW 5 turn Stun. Loved that team. Had to mix them up for the different essentials, but those 3 were present in pretty much each one of my matches.
Also loved using SW, Blade, IF for the easier nodes just to cruise through them and let Cyclops and Doom rest up. Did not have good token pulls though... which was a bummer.0 -
I don't know why but I hated the Doom with to bots node. Doom kept getting massive cascades and I kept getting hit with summon demons. I would always need a health pack after that node.
For the deadpool node I used Dare Devil, cyclops, Hood. I would stun Hulk and Dino and kept creating red to hit everyone with Ambush. Dare devil Cyclops was also king vs Carnage for me too0
