You don't join a main bracket until you select an end time. The amount of people in your bracket should be in a red band above the black band that states how much time is left in the event. It is easiest to just check the last post in the thread, to see what the latest info someone has provided. If the time zone settings in your user profile are correct, you should be able view the time the person posted, to see how current their info is. There is a possibility of multiple brackets filling side by side, so join a "fresh" bracket at your own risk.

Useful info to provide

1)Time slice you are in
2)Current amount of people in bracket
3)Leader in bracket with amount of points
4)Time you joined the event, if it was not right before posting in the thread.

    Slice 3 now 202

    Leader is dipFireWorker with 4191 (one clear+some slight banding?).

    This just started though, so one clear gets you most of the way up the leaderboard.

    I'm in a slice 3 bracket that has 622. Leader is Bird Colonel, with 10.1k. A full clear has put me in the mid-40s.

    I'd normally say I'm in a vet bracket, but I took it pretty easy through the last couple PVEs and don't recognize any names in top 10 off-hand.

    Am I in a different bracket? I'm also in slice 3, we're at 214 players. Leader is jaypee3270 @8137 points. Would have expected a bigger increase since you posted.

    I'm now in the same Jaypee bracket in Slice 3, at 247. I joined shortly after his post as #221 iirc.

    Edit: now at 255.

    My veteran slice 5 just filled within the last half hour. I joined about 2 hours ago at 700 so it filled fairly quickly.

    Leader is Thefucc with 8878 followed by Dread Pirates with 7797.

    20 people an hour starting to think Wont be able to get a fresh slice 3 before this event is over
