PvE event strategies

Are you grinding every node down to 1? How long do you spend grinding? Some of the hardcore vets can grind all nodes down to 1 within the hour (if they can beat any teams x2-3 during their shield hops, which normally last a few minutes. Then pve nodes is a cake walk for them). So if you started your grind 3-4 hrs before them, their nodes have 2-3 hrs more refresh time. Each clear during their grind is getting a fraction more points than you.0

Oh I get that some vets can out grind me. Absolutely. But I think you're missing my issue. My issue is that if they are getting ahead of me by thousands of points after *the first 8 hour clear*, by grinding, then that should prevent them from getting full points for the rest of the time, no? But these guys are staying that far ahead through all three or four clears. Right from the beginning.
I'm trying to figure out how some people are getting more points out of a full point clear than I am. Did that make sense? It's strange to me that no one else notices this. I'd take screenshots, but I don't want to call people out by name. And it's different people every time.0 -
Thanks for the response...but no, I don't mean different people alternating in the same event--though that does happen occasionally. I meant that it's different people in different events. Maybe I should rephrase this, as it may have been a little muddied through these posts.
What happens:
I start an event as soon as it opens. I do one clear at full points. Afterward, I look at the leaderboards. There are one or two people who are like 2k points ahead of me.
I assume that they simply did a second clear, at less points, and that they will fall down the boards on my next full point clear (since they would not be getting full points on the second clear).
After 8 hours, I do another full point clear. I check the leaderboards again. But the same person is at the top, another 1-2k ahead. This continues until the end of the event. Not just Enemy of the State; I've seen it in like every event.
I did not know there ws an auto-win hack as such, but it still can't really explain this. Once again: if they get behind in the points on the first run, there should be no way for them to stay on top against people doing full point optimal clears...I don't know. It just bothers me not to know something like this lol.0 -
If I stick to the 3 clears at 0, 8, and 16 hours in followed by a full grind down to 1 in the last 2-3 hours, I have never been beaten by someone that has had more points after the first pass.0

Thanks for posting this Kcman...I've had the same issues. #thestruggleisreal0
