Stop resetting character bar in team selection screen

This is currently the most annoying interface issue for me:

1. Try to assemble a team of lower level characters before battle to distribute health loss more evenly among my roster and break up the monotony.
2. Scroll through 8 pages of characters to select 3 low level ones with complementary colors and powers.
3. Click on the info button of a selected character because I cannot remember how well covered they are, or what their exact match damage is, which determines what color they will tank.
4. Exit the character info screen to replace the character because their cover level or match damage is not suitable for the current battle.
5. F@$&*!!! The character bar has been reset and now I have to scroll through 8 pages of characters to find a replacement.
6. Repeat several times for each battle.
7. Scream at the interface.

Also: saved teams. The more characters added to the game, the worse team selection gets for people with deep rosters.
