Lonely at the Top

Threw up an 8 hr shield last night and another one this morning, and still looking for attackable opponents.

I can't be the only guy in my MMR tier in the 700s. I haven't tanked in two weeks, where are the high rollers at?

The guy in 2nd who is 2 pts behind me has a best lineup of L69 Moonstone, L52 Daken, and L40 Venom. He must be in MMR heaven...What I would give to find him in matchmaking...

  • so lonely =p i don't have time these days with work to spend alot of time....icon_e_smile.gif enjoy your top spot!
  • I really think my company needs to compensate me for the HP I have to burn on shields during the work day.

I figured I'd be able to eventually find 3 20+ targets at some point today. I figured incorrectly.

Banged out one for 17 after shield expiry and went right behind the shield again. Not worth opening myself up to losses for 10 pt wins.

Hopefully there will be some targets when I get home, or if need be tomorrow morning when I wake up.

Thankfully there are new LR's to keep me occupied.
  • Since shielded opponent no longer shows up as new opponents, I would expect point total to be similar to what you'll see in pre shielding days so not seeing anybody higher than 700 is not out of the question.

Anybody who gets to 700+ is likely shielded, or only unshielded for minutes at a time. I do a little cheer if I find anybody over 500 (and then I stop when I'm about 700.)

I'm not sure why. Outside of Lightning rounds I've not been shielding and just have been attacking everyone. Just playing whoever comes next regardless of their points. Not a lot of people retaliate. After retaliations and regular attacks I have more points than I'd expect.

Yeah, I've noticed a significant drop in retaliations since the Thorverine changes. I count that as a good thing!
