Captain Marvel survival node bug

Captain Marvel's Energy Absorption works even before I actually hit her. In today's Big Enchilada node I killed last goon in first wave with Star-Spangled Avenger move; next second after that game showed me Energy Absorption animation and second wave (Cap Marvel, Squirrel Girl and Psylocke) appeared, with full health and freshly gained 4 red ap. I don't think, that it was intended to work in this way.

I experience this quite often in Deadpool dailies when fighting Carol Danvers.0
