Cheaters?

I'm looking at the rosters of some of the players who are ranked very high, and according to their rosters of level 30 or so characters, there's no way they can beat the level 100+ enemies. How are they scoring so high? And if their cheating why haven't they been banned?

They haven't been banned because the developers don't give a f....

    What team are you using?

Part of the enemy scaling is based off the team you used to clear the first mission. If their highest heroes are level 30 they are probably facing enemies in a level 25-40 range.
  • I don't know all the inner workings of this effed up event scaling system the devs have slapped together, but it does seem to be designed to scale to players. It's broken at either the bottom levels or the mid to high levels, and as a result those guys with low-end rosters are facing much, much easier opponents than the rest.
  • I used a team less then level 30 avg and fighting 100-200 so it's hard to see how scaling is being implemented. Stop trying to stick up for obvious cheaters.

It's hard to tell based on that statement because everything I fought is basically level 230 until whatever they did today that nerfed the levels of the 3XDA fights, and my level 85-90 guys fighting level 230 guys isn't necessarily any easier than your level 30 guys fighting level 100 guys if we don't include Spiderman for his insane stun power.

Don't blame people for "cheating", blame the developers for eff-ed up programming.

if the only way to advance is to cheat, then cheating is actually the correct way to play.
  • It's not cheating, it's the f***ed up scaling system they implemented.

Enemies are suppose to scale with the player. At low levels it's probably working as intended; fights get tough, but manageable. In the mid to high end of the level spectrum, this scaling system has gone completely to **** and made fights that should be challenging but doable in to fights that are effectively impossible without a max blue Spider-Man, and incredibly tedious with him.

But seriously. It's been said in this thread and probably 10 other identical threads since Thick as Thieves. The low level players leading your brackets aren't cheating. If they were, they would probably cheat themselves up some cooler characters than the level 18 1*s they're running. This event and the one prior are just a cluster**** that doesn't hit low levels as hard.

I wish more people would think about this and use their brains. Would probably stop the daily cheater threads...

And I've the feeling that the scaling takes into account the whole roster of a player not only the team you used to beat the missions. Thus if you have any lvl 100+ guys in your posession you are doomed. Because even if the chars you are allowed to use in this event are low lvl the event seems to scale of your highest guys (even if you can't use them).
Or it is just totally random - but I hope not icon_e_confused.gif

I always assumed the scaling built off of the last event.
Which meant if they kept up the current format then eventually everyone would be fighting level 230's and only the newer players would be fighting low levels.
But they have said that it's not working as intended, it's just a case of fixing it. And at the current accumulation rate of mob sooner rather than later would be most beneficial.
For now all we can do is wait. And wait we shall...
  • Low levelers on our brackets may not be cheating, but the fact that they're there and some are ahead of us means the game is cheating us

Most of them are probably just fighting lvl10-20 enemies this broken game game offers.

Some others may just exploit the incompetency of developers who just accept whatever manipulated client data on the server without proper check. (Though they actually have quarantine and sandbox away discovered cheaters, on steam forums there was a bloke who won his own version of the 300HP tournament icon_e_smile.gif the checks are not strict and discrepancies are apparently discovered only by accident).

    Indeed.
  • I'm Using 40-55 Wolverine, Hawkeye Modern and Black Widow and I have enemies that are 120+ that are near impossible. The first place player has 3x the points as I do and his characters are half my level. That's messed up, unfair.

    Well, that's life.

I'm using lvl 114 spidey, lvl 85 Wolverine and lvl 75 GS Black Widow (she was 68 when the event started, pumped ISO into her, so that I could do a bit more dmg) and my enemies are lvl 230.

Every fight takes somewhere between 15 and 25 minutes, about every fourth or fifth match I lose because of bad color distribution on the board.
That's why I don't care about this event and play only one or two missions once a day...
