Thought I would go with OBW, Hood and Lazy Cap. Probably not many defensive wins will be on the cards but hoping it has that annoying factor that wants folks to skip.0
-
Only started two hours ago and already had two defensive wins with Jugs, OBW and cage. Even the AI can't mess up their moves too badly (cage black excepted of course). Good fun too, I love headbutt, heal, headbutt, heal... Hahahahaha
I think some people must look at a team with a 1* and 2* and think it's easy pickings.0 -
I've been experimenting with annoying teams. So far LCap, She Hulk, Blade has been loads of fun. AP Drain/Steal, pretty high health, good damage.
I've seen a lot of Cyclops/Juggs/random 3rd teams as well. I think I tried that with MN Mags as the 3rd for more Red generation. Seemed Ok, but not thrilling.0 -

I feel sorry when I see the 4* players in this event.
I imagine they say:
BUT I NORMALLY WIN WITH THESE CHARACTERS! THEYRE FULLY COVERED! WHAT. THE. KRUTACK!JackTenrec wrote:It's probably not an optimal team, but I'm enjoying the heck out of running Kamala, Iron Fist, and Punisher.
it's an ok team, it'll bring out Kamala's smile alot so that's goodaesthetocyst wrote:
Aww shucks, I'm in slice 1 for BoP so that's a no go, also past 1k this morning. So yeah.
No worries about Shield sim, only needed to pad season score a bit to keep top 25 placement. (Cha-ching). Happy to let pts trickle downward
As for BoP, seeing very little Juggs this edition. A lot of great, effective lineups this time around. I still remember the first BoP, a year(?) ago. That was awful. Juggs like SPAM™.
I don't understand why...he's the Juggernaut0 -
I'm torn between my desire for Quicksilver covers (two blacks and a green finish him off) and the absolute misery that this event often is.0
-
Jugs / OBW / Hood took more attacks than the uselessly small list could show, mostly small point wins from what it did show, for a loss of 263 points overnight from 800 to 537.
But I have some nice 70 point retaliations lined up...0 -
tried jugs/obw/hood but i like obw/Cyclops/fist better. defense wouldn't play the black correctly there though. thought about other teams too. interested to hear what everyone else is using. have a lot of covered characters, so could play around some.
edit: played several with strike makers - blade, patch, daken - a bunch with falcon, so ran cmags/fist/loki and that worked so well I left it overnight. 2 losses for not many points and 2 wins for net -9 which i'll take. the worst thing about this having to check every roster to see how the characters are covered. that is a pain.0 -
I am currently doing pretty well in this event, at the moment I am using hood, 3*thor and cage0
-
Got 1000 using mostly Hood/Jugg/Kamala Khan, switched to Luke Cage/Kamala/Jugg when I felt my spidey senses tingling about attacks.
Jugg is definitely your workhorse in this event. 12 and he can kill anyone.
On my stream of course for dissection purposes.
Going to have to figure out how to reshield at or before work....really should've just used a 24 hour shield, lol. to 1300 I go!0 -
Back up to 870 or so during lunch, sticking with the mighty trio. If you don't get to heal between head-butts it can be costly in terms of health packs.
Pro-tip, if your level 1 Juggernaut says 25 minutes to fully heal, that means he's really almost dead and you shouldn't fight again without healing him.
I'm #4 and shielded, the number of attacks I was getting during lunch was ludicrous. Luckily most losses were for only a few points.0 -

yeap, I wonder why..,... jugg with Kamala still makes a great team. but I didnt see many jugg around.0 -
Left my troll team up during the night - Deadpool, Hood, Classic Storm. Lost a few points overall - three losses and lots of small defensive wins. Not bad.
Now I'm back to Juggs/OBW/Cage and getting defensive wins with them too...0 -
Ms Marvel, Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch was loads of fun but have settled on Juggs, Cyclops and Kamala Khan for the night. May switch back tomorrow for a bit then settle with the A team again. Juggs IM40 and Magneto didnt really work that well.0
-
KK, Cyc, Daken, still going strong for me.0
-
I've seen many of the team combos mentioned, like malcrof's (KK, Cyc, Daken) Txmoose's (obw/Cyclops/fist). Certainly saw variety pre-600 points.
After that, almost every team is one of the following (take any two of column A and any two of column
A) OBW/Hood/KK
Juggs/Cage/Ares/Cyc
Almost any combination of those can probably be argued as best - but it might as well be a boosted week with those seven selected, I see more of them than anything. I'm personally running KK/Juggs/Cage (raisinbman's team, among many, many others I see out there) - but I know in my alliance there are some that swear by OBW+Hood for example. KK by far the least I see from column A (less covered by everyone perhaps?), Ares + Cyc all matches together I see maybe as much as Cage -or- Juggy, who are much more common from column B.
The most common "others" I see (much more rarely than the top seven) are Loki/IF/XF/DP (usually to cover hood)/Daken (often with Falcon/Cyc).0 -
So I really screwed up my shields(should've just used a 24 hour shield) got got sent back to 870~, but I was able to gain it back then shield.
Not a lot of time in my bracket but the difference between getting knocked down here and in a normal event is there's lots of people worth points, even with top 1-20 shielded.
Was able to climb to 1000 and I'll see if I can touch 1300.
Not sure why folks are so set on Prof X/GSBW, but hey, free 50 point matches are free 50 point matches, I guess...0 -

It's reliable on offense and costs very few health packs. I may use it to hit progressions later, then just let the free fall happen.0 -

Not even taking this event seriously but it's fun. Instead of getting angry I just get impressed when another team has incredible synergy.
I might try out my main team later.0
