Need roster help. Overstepped in my 3*** transition

Hello community.
I have been playing for a few months but just recently found these forums and learned a lot in the past week. After reading the guides here, I feel I made a big mistake in leveling two of my 3* characters.

I was so excited about earning a bunch of covers for Steve Rogers and Loki by getting top 5 in a couple PVp events, I leveled them up to 102 and 117. The rest of my roster is still transitioning and I have no other 3* ready to level up past 78. I am lacking the proper 2* characters to make a good team with Loki and Steve Rogers.

How much benefit would I have at selling these two characters and focus on keeping my roster at 94 until my roster has enough covers to promote a solid and cohesive team past 94?

Do not sell them. You will be fine. I did worse than you, everyone at 94, then i pumped 3Thor and Doom to 154.. ouch. Takes a few weeks to get right again, but do not sell them.

Your scaling won't be off by much, just don't level them until you have 3 or more 10+ cover 3*s ready , and level them evenly.

To finish your 2* roster, hit up lightning rounds and the shield sim, you can oops into many 2* covers and loads of ISO there. Concentrate on getting a solid 2* roster to 94 that you can finish DDQ with (i used OBW, 2Thor, and Capt Marvel)

really all you need is to get a good set of **s to 94 and incorporate your loki and steve into your ** teams. those 2 are top characters - do not sell those. if it was rags and psylocke, my opinion would be different, but loki and cap are key players later.

I appreciate it folks. I was leaning more towards keeping them, but you guys helped me solidify my decision.

I wasn't sure how much of an impact it had on my PVE scaling.

I didn't get too involved in the lightning rounds, but with your suggestion I will certainly give it a shot.

    Thank you all!

If my own experience is still applicable in the current game, then 102 and 117 shouldn't have much impact on your pve scaling (I didn't notice any steep difficulty change when I took my first two 3*s to 120 and 110).

that said, I would avoid going much higher until you had a modest roster of 3*s all ready to hit 140+ (ie 11 or more covers).

And definitely don't sell either. Loki is a fantastic support character (if a bit squishy) and lazy cap is a pve beast. hard to overstate how valuable his board control ability is against goons or overleveled pve opponents. But don't expect too much from him in pvp as he is a bit slow to get going and has no value defensively.
