Do your usual run up to 1000 points, however you normally do so.

You'll need to shield hop past that point. Drop an 8 hour shield at this point. You need to give this 8 hour shield 5 hours to cool down. While you're waiting, you're going to need to cycle through targets in your leaderboard, to try and line up your targets for your next hop. Ideally, try and line up other players in your top ten while they're unshielded, and make sure they're shielded before you break shields to hop next. No one appreciates being sniped mid hop. It's better to line up people you can see, if you can, just because you can be fairly confident of their point totals.

Once your five hours is up (minimum), break shields, and play your next few matches. You need to play them as fast as you possibly can, so it's worthwhile boosting all your relevant colours. The trick is to know how many matches you can fit in before putting up your next shield. Too many matches, and you'll get hit, which will probably result in a failed hop, given the point losses you'll incur at that high level. Usually, you can fit in between 1-3. After that, pop up a 3 hour shield.

Your next hop will be when the 3 hour shield is about to expire. Line up your targets again in between. Keep on alternating 8 and 3 hour shields until you reach 1300 points (alternating 5 and 3 hour breaks). Save your 24 hour shield for emergencies.

Shield hopping is easier if you're part of a major alliance or on Line, when you can tell if people are hopping, so you can line your targets up. Having said that, I hop with neither of those available to me, and it's doable.

But, it's all about speed. You need to finish your matches fast. The damage you take is irrelevant, given you should have 10 health packs.

ok I will try this, thanks alot...could only get to 700 points(There was someone at 800 points but my bracket seems to tear whoever goes beyond 800 down), so I will try to get to 1000 points tomorrow then do a final climb like you said

Don't leave it until too late. Because of shield cooldowns, you're tied to a 5 and 3 hour shield hop cycle, unless you want to throw HP to the wind, and incorporate your 24 hour shield into the cycle. The worst thing is to find you're one hop away from 1300, with no shields left, and having to hop with no shields, while hoping like hell that you hit that 1300 before you get hit.
