The Hood covers in No Holes Barred made me a little scared.

Honestly, when I saw these being offered as prizes, I actually got scared.

This may be a sign that they may be scrapping Lightning Rounds.

Previously, it didn't affect me that much, but I just only recently got accustomed to LR. Would be a shame if it were to just disappear like that all of a sudden. icon_e_sad.gif

  • Loki got placement rewards. Doom got progression rewards. If anything, I think they are offering Hood because he is the current LR with lowest participation. If people have his cards they may be more compelled to participate.
  • The Hood's low participation may be due to the Shields of his LR costing twice as much as the others.
  • Win the Hood? Big whoop. Yeah the devs definitely want more players using this rather useless character.

And if the Hood gets popular, betya he will be in the next round of "fun balance". Blah
  • I wouldn't put on the panic hat just yet.

    Also, *Holds.
  • The hood would be great if he had 25% more hit points.

I love his blue, and his yellow. His only fault is he's really not intimidating on defense in PvP. Like most three stars, he gets a lot better when he's got all his covers.
  • He's an AP battery imho. Not really great for combat.

At max covers, regardless of levels, he generates at least 2-3 different APs per turn. And when you have 15 yellow, you get a profit of at least 18 AP.
  • Obw has a better health growth and has way better damage output. And on top of that can heal.

Hood has great AP generation/denial, but not much else.

What the flip? I've never bothered shielding in those yet, generally just scrap for tokens if I'm feeling feisty, but why on earth would they do that?
  • OBW is a scarier opponent in PvP, no doubt. I like the hood more on my team though. His ap denial works without you having to go after pink, which no cover I have leveled needs.

    My absolute favorite character

Agreed. Anytime there is a boosted fighter event, Boosted +Spidey+Hood = havoc due to the stun which is fed by Hood and stunning plus feeding the booster until he unleashes all the while enemy booster has no AP thanks to hood. Just wish his health was better but I guess at 120-141 his health become reasonable comparable to OBW and Storm
  • My hood is currently 3/3/3, so this has me pretty stoked. I'm hoping they do this event twice over like older events, and that the recent Wolverine / Thor events were one-offs just to show heroes off after their funbalancing.
  • Yeah very into this event, which is good because wolverine/thor/heroic mode really haven't been offering much excitement.

I've got a 5/3/1 hood so very excited to potentially get him to 5/4/2 (going for 5/5/3 as everyone should). Also need the green Wolverine XF cover so I'm all in on this one!
  • I'm in the process of trying to tank my MMR (I know it's not as easy as it used to be, but I'm trying to see if it's possible at all) so that I can actually compete reasonably in the event. I need all the Hood covers (all I have for him is one blue cover; he's my only *** that bad off), none of the ** ones offered, but I don't have a team that's particularly competitive at my mmr level.

    @Theflash

Blue is the easiest to get. You just need to score above rank 25 in his LR. Let's hope we can still get the LRs.

The yellow is the hardest, and you already have 5 of it.
  • Indeed blue is very easy to get. I've sold multiple blue and black but stuck on two yellow

Wait seriously? Hood is consistently the most difficult LR for me to place in. I think Loki has to be the least competitive.

I have 3 yellows from standard tokens. :p
  • Are you sure Hood and not Mags is the hardest?
  • I think I've managed tokens instead of getting last-minute nuked to ISO off more Magses than anything, to be honest. With how chaotic they get if you actually play the closing minutes I'm not convinced it matters that much which you try. I do have some 1-4 of all villain covers, but not enough to have bothered leveling any of them. Also couldn't tell you which of those were off-hours, which probably matters.

Was thinking Loki might heat up a bit with Patch roaming the halls, but maybe not.
