You guys don't know what you're missing out on in part because you haven't leveled Gamora and built to max her Black.

Boosted Gamora is one of the most enjoyable characters to play, and probably the MPQ character that gains the most out of level boost (barring Juggernaut in Balance of Power). In Women of Marvel and Black Vortex, I was absolutely crushing teams of maxed 4*s including jacked up GThors. With Gamora and OBW / Cstorm. And then with Scarlet Witch / Iron Fist.

Admittedly, Gamora when not boosted is pretty average to outright bad if you don't have her fully leveled or covered. But when she has all those extra levels she is amazing. 5/3/5 all the way.

Agreed her bad reputation is devastating.

Actually had her complete and did not notice until I got another cover for her. Better than I thought.

Now 4,4,5 not fully level but with her black should hold her own in this one.

Just saw my first maxed Thing in this event. Cover-maxed anyway, 5/3/5. Level was low 200s.

I skipped, I don't need 30 points that much (and more than likely I'd have lost, badly).

Currently there are 2 Gamora PVP's, i won 4 matches before i realized i was in the lightning round (no seed teams) booo for loss of progression and health packs.

I snuck in with just under an hour to go; climbed from 250 to 67 on a total of about 575 points.

Category 5 is giving away the cover I need for Cap (would make him 3/5/4), but I have travel on Friday. May be getting up early so I don't neglect family afterward.

Tired of hearing how Gamora is not deserving of ISO, and completely back xellesanova's post!
My maxed Gamora/Fury/Hood netted me 1500+ points and no untimely attacks whatsoever on my climb to shield from 900 to 1200+ or either of two hops (okay, there were two close attacks, but those were wins in my favour).
Quite different from the times when you had to run X-Force and Goddess even in Gamora's event and watch Gamora sit useless outside of being a meatshield due to all her colours being easily outcompeted (that's how crazy good X-Force used to be).
She was absolutely at her place with Fury and the likes of Kamala, Hood or Fist who add to her unstoppable might on black without detracting from it. I didn't even have to run my maxed Hulkbuster because she was that good by herself and needed no outside help.
Bad Reputation, Avengers Assemble, and finish them off with Gamora red/green, that's how it went for me most of the time, and even decently leveled Carnage I had to take on several times, was rarely problematic due to getting stunned and killed fast.

A character is not obliged to be good when they aren't properly specced and leveled. The good news is, there are plenty of ways to make Gamora tank all her colours, or even more. Pairing her with oBW and Hood; Fury and Hood; Grocket and Star-Lord; Beast and Iron Fist; Spider-Man and Falcon; Daredevil and Hood; cMagneto and Squirrel Girl; Invisible Woman and Fist, etc, etc. Gamora would always tank her colours over those people and guarantee a good bang for your buck with Bad Reputation.

Funny blunder I made in yesterday's LR; boy, glad I didn't do anything like _that_ in Lethal Intent instead. Noticed enemy Gamora gain 12 black. Stunned the AI stupidly out of not wanting to eat a skill, Gamora didn't get stunned thanks to Murphy's Law.



She had to have 5 in black and with her teammates stunned, she owned every coloured tile on the board. I couldn't do anything. Their matches dealt 2000 damage after that. My consequent wipe was imminent, humiliating and amusing.

In this PVP, I deliberately went looking for teams with IF / Hulkbuster in order to kick their ****. I've skipped them every other PVP because inevitably you eat an IFOKL / Overdrive / Repulsor Punch combo and there's nothing you can do about it. Even hitting IF first means that HB takes so long to go down that he'll likely drop one of yours.

Not this time. With Gamora properly built, your own Iron Fist to feed Black, and your choice of any third who won't get in the way (Nick Fury, Hood, Scarlet Witch, OBW, CStorm) Fist's attack tile does between 2000-3000 points per round and regular tiles knock out 1500+ per match.

Opposing IF goes down at the same time that you can drop the first Bad Reputation (between turn 3-5), and the AI Gamora/Hulkbuster confusion meant that Gamora would use her Red and HB's Black instead of the other way around, if they even got enough AP to use their abilities. HB with 15000 hp goes down really fast and I even left Gamora for last -- being the first person to drop Bad Reputation meant that I already covered most of the Yellow on the board with my Strike tiles.

I'm at 1178 with 4 hours left and hit 1061 before needing to shield. How's that working out for you?

I learned quickly to either 1) wait until the first was down to throw the gamora green, or make sure I had loki enough black just in case. early on I ate 2 bad reps in the same match. luckily it wasn't well covered or it would have been the end. cost me 2 health packs against a weaker team though.

Even more internet points for you, winning a Gamora tournament for Storm prizes. All my base truly are belong to you! Yes, you quoted me saying I knew I wouldn't do well. Not sure what your point is since I already predicted the outcome of my tournament? I don't give a krutack about Gamora and even less about these prizes. I lost no sleep about only being #20 and only getting to 800 Gamora progression.
