Post nerfing patch and current event "modifications"
Seeing as a large sum of the player base is in uproar after the new "fixes" done to MPQ, I know for a fact that many of us are demanding character respecs for their covers. Now here's what I suggest to make sure that your fans walk out with somewhat of a smile on their faces, and so that it is still extremely profitable for the devs:
1) Make a system that allows us to first, trade any cover you find for another cover of that character, and ONLY that character.
Details: This may sound like a bad idea at first at least for the designers to profit off of, but hear me out. To ensure both a good amount of continuing money being made for MPQ and a satisfied fan-base without an overly grindy / pay2win effect, make restrictions on the requirements to commit to this trade. These requirements would be as follows:
- Each trade will require that player to have found at least one cover previously of that character he/she wishes to trade to.
- There should be some sort of a cost for each trade, somewhere along the lines of 25 hero points or 250 iso per cover. just about doubling with that characters quality rate
(e.g. 1-star = 25hp / 250iso, 2star = 50hp/500 iso. 3star = 100hp/1000iso, 4star = 250hp/2500 iso).
2) Develop some sort of a character re-specification option which could entail a number of possibilites.
Details: Have a new form of "credit" line called Reset points. Specifications involved:
- Again, this would require either the option of hero points or Iso-8 to buy one credit (somewhere along the lines of 250 hp / 2500 Iso-8 since generally a player would only reset a character once every few months/patch fixes).
- BIGGEST SUGGESTION: Each point of credit will allow 1 complete respecification of that character which basically removes and separates ALL its current covers and refunds the character ALL of the Iso-8 accumulated in having to level that character. AGAIN, this may sound bad at first but lets think of it in terms of profit; the developers will make a gradually increasing amount of money off those players who get bored really easily of playing the same characters over and over again. If they want to play another character that they don't have the time for leveling, they can buy a Reset Credit and siphon all the experience from their characters into another character instantly (NOTE: This is the key to making both parties happy!).
- To ensure that the previous detail does not get abused by pay2winners to easily win a tournament, make sure that there is a time restriction on each character respec of at least 8 to 24 hours.
3) Expand the Osborn Heroic Mode missions to allow a larger character base into its lineup as most of the missions are nearly impossible or way too time consuming to complete with most of the current line up. If this is too much to ask, at the very least provide us with the default Daredevil character throughout all of these missions, since clearly this event is to promote him anyway while giving players who enjoy a challenge more of one. Furthermore, do away with requiring people to have rare and difficult to obtain characters to complete certain missions in these events, as they only gear toward the pay2winners anyway, and instead just provide a default lower level version of that character as its requirement.
Hope I covered all the major bases on this suggestion post. If not, feel free to bring some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism to the table. Would love to see this help the community enjoy the game once again.

1) is a bad idea. If some cover colors are supposed to be rarer than others on the same character, it bypasses that intention. The most elegant and only simple respec suggestion I've seen was that you can still add a cached cover at 13/13, and it'll prompt you for which of the other powers to drop by one when you do.
As to Osborn, if they're not already aware they fluffed it, coming in to work Monday morning to a GD front page of nothing but ranting and quit threats might tip them off. It's up to them how they deal with that, but I don't think messing with the limited roster would be a good solution, since that's what heroic mode is supposed to be. It's just also supposed to be possible.0 -
Well the reason for suggestion 1 was to do away with the overly grind / Korean effect. Instead you would only have to get one cover of that color power rather than grind your way through around 3-5 of each. Keep in mind that they would still be making equal, if not more, money than they normally do from the character respecs. Another note....it feels like all kinds of recruit tokens had their drop rate nerfed severely. I used to average one 2 - star or higher per 10 tokens. Ever since the update I've used maybe 30 or more and still not even one 2-star.0

The function and reason for suggestion 1 is obvious, it just isn't necessary. Once you get a cover of a certain color, you can already purchase more covers of that color. It doesn't make sense to add an alternative method that's really cheap. They price them like that for a reason. They want to give out a lot of covers, knowing that a large amount will not be useful. That is why covers don't give you much value when you sell them. So they can give out more. People getting covers isn't really a problem. It's the point of the game.0
