ISO investment & diversity idea
Just had an odd idea for making ISO investment in characters less of a gamble and hopefully promoting more diverse use of characters. Introducing the ISO Boost Battery.
1) Pick a character you've invested some ISO into to be temporarily drained - for this example, let's say its Thor at lvl 85 4/4/5.
2) Pick a character you want to temporarily infuse with experience levels - for this example Classic Magneto, lvl 50, 2/3/3.
3) Thor is knocked out for X hours. For X hours, Magneto's effective level is his own PLUS however many levels 50% of Thor's total ISO investment would buy, up to his current level cap at max. Because he does not have full covers, he risks not getting the full benefit of the Boost Battery.
4) After X hours, Thor begins recovering from 0 health and Magneto goes back to his actual current exp. level.
It could also be modified further by the drained characters current health/max health at the time of the transfer. So an 80% health Thor would give 80% of 50% (equaling 40%) of his ISO as the temporary boost.
Players would still be motivated to spend ISO on characters, because who wants to have to KO their best characters every time they want to use someone else in an event? But they would now have that option. Niche but not powerhouse characters can now be played around with and experimented with. New power combos can be tried out without investing tons of hours first. Like the results? Now you have ideas about how to invest the ISO you earn.
