Not only did no one want to post a thread for this event, it seemed no one wanted to play either.

On my Wolveroach account I got to 315 to get the token, then forgot about it. Turns out 315 was good enough for #77. #1 was only 734.

I had a tougher than usual climb to 1000, but it worked out. That was good enough for top 10, but number 1 only had 1050 points or so.

This was only the second pvp since the change to the progression rewards that I was able to climb all the way to 1000 with no shields and no retals with my team of maxed 4Thor/CapMarvel/Kkhan. Wish the 4* cover were a better character but I needed the Starlord so I can't complain.

i joined with 30 minutes left, 2 rounds of seed teams.. then quit.. was good enough for # 107 lol, was really only looking for bagman covers.. but had i known i was that close, i would have done a few actual matches to get a cover.
  • I thought about making threads for it, and for Black Vortex... but I needed absolutely none of the rewards in either. No progressions, no placement...nothing.

So for WoM I decided to climb a bit early and then make an unshielded last minute push just to see where it got me. Got to 1040 at the end which netted me seventh place (would have been top 5 and close to 1100 if my last fight finished 20 seconds earlier). Still made 300 HP profit on the event with no shields used, and actually enjoyed playing icon_kamalakhan.pngicon_scarletwitch.pngicon_thor.png . Even went ahead and maxed SWitch during this (she was already up to about 140).

Black Vortex is looking like it may be the same sort of thing - no shields, just play for whatever I can get at the end.
