Are they for real? Five minutes before the end of my sub event. 'Great news press tap to update' locked out from defending a tight placement. Waiting to update to find out if I held on minus star lord.0

why the do this at the beginning of ultrons, I have no idea. there's really no good time and between seasons makes sense, except when they run an ultron. given the likelihood of update issues lately, I agree bad form. no good time though if they fit ultron between seasons. in season (all - early/middle/late) is critical for all who try and rank and nearly any given time, someone is shielded to where an update issue would be horribly bad. truthfully though, choosing to do it during a vision/marvel event isn't the worst. assuming this will be followed by a new character event and at least any issues might be ironed out by then.0

The only time for a forced update is to fix a truly critical bug or after some reasonable amount of time has passed on the optional update - that time should be measured in days not hours. Reading the summary of changes, there is not a truly critical fix or update listed. So, the proper thing to do was to allow players to skip the update for a couple days and then force it.
But, of course, the devs don't say anything so all we have is what we see - and it doesn't look good.0 -
The update went out yesterday at some point. I did it around 5pm but I don't know how much earlier it went out.0

It didn't show up on my Android phone until about 4 hours ago, definitely not yesterday.0 -

My Android got it about 6 hours ago, so I spent my lunch hour finding public Wi-Fi to push the update through. Seen them give the option for only a couple of hours too many times to trust that I could skip until I got home.0 -
I just logged in to post this myself. It truly is annoying to force us to download these updates. I don't get much service at work so its difficult to download updates plus I would prefer to do it at Hone with WiFi. They should at least give us 48hrs.
What's their rush? They don't want us stealing 2 special tiles with She Hulk?! There's nothing crucial with this update.0 -
I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THEY DID THIS AGAIN!!!?!?!?!?!?!!
We complained up the wazzo last time because of how badly this messed people up.....and they did it AGAIN.

1) There always are events running, there's no good time for an update.
2) I prefer that everyone has to download the update to play. It's much fairer than when you could hold off updating for days - I remember one update where your scaling was much higher as soon as you updated, where the people who held off had an advantage. That shouldn't happen in a competitive game.
Yes, it sucks when you're not able to update right away and miss out on something, but in general it's much fairer for those who _are_ able to play to be on even footing.0 -

If they could figure out how to push out an update without using 100+ MB of data every time, then I could support that (and download on my data plan). However, since they have not figured that out yet (only game I play that requires such massive downloads every week or so), there is no way to download updates without using Wi-Fi. In that regard, the immediate push through concept screws mobile player base, and in my opinion, requires a 12 hour optional update window, before making the update mandatory.0
