Prof X Invisibility Tile Disappearing

Just had this happen in a match. I played Prof X's purple and the tile was nowhere close to any others that could be matched away. I was going to ride Carnage attack tiles to victory. I matched three team-ups on the other side of the board and, boom, my invisibility tile disappeared and Prof X was no longer invisible. There was no cascade or other move that wiped out the invisibility tile. It just disappeared.

A friend said he thought something similar happened to him in a match, but he assumed he missed a move.
