Sell ISO boosters, not ISO. Well, probably both.
This was pointed out by Eidolone in a tangent to one of the 19 current front-page threads of ranty vitriol. I'm just putting it here in hopes it'll have a marginally better chance of being happened upon by someone who could do something about it.
Like many, I'm absolutely disgusted by this developer's constant grasping attempts to make me pay for health packs that regenerate on their own in a few hours, force me to pay for HP that I can win from quite attainable progression and placement awards in multiple weekly events, and insist I pay for leveling that I can do by smacking frowny jonah's sorry team upside the head. It's just pay, pay, pay. What about FUN? Why do you need MY money when your game says it's FREE?
You guys aren't even doing it right - you're missing a trick.
Since first man Quested to Progress, grasping developers did sell him Boosts, that he might Progress sooner.
I'll never buy ISO. I might buy a consumable boost that, on activation, adds 50% to all ISO I receive for 24 hours (or 8, or 1, or a week, not really sweating the detail). This is more tied to in-game activity, and I feel like I have more control over what I get out of it. Things that might have to be excluded, off the top of my head: buying ISO with a boost on, obviously; selling covers - that might annoy some, but you probably don't want people stockpiling 500 recruit tokens and boosting to convert them to ISO all at once.
If this could be purchased with HP, it would add another HP sink for the top-end players we keep hearing are swimming in the stuff but desperately short of leveling ISO, give them a conversion path to turn an abundant resource into a scarce one, and encourage more HP purchases.
