Suggestion: reset Prologue after 100%
If a player completes the Prologue to 100% - checkmarks on all missions - how about a total reset of Prologue?
That will always provide a background non-tourney option for playing, it's a great way to try out new teams, new combinations, and even new characters (ie DD) with a little incentive. (sorry, the Osborn Heroic is NOT showcasing DD, other than showing he is an ineffective character for the missions presented. Again, IMHO).
A Prologue "reset" will also give a psuedo re-spec option for Thor, A.Wolverine, C.Storm due to the abundance of their covers. The additional ISO players gain will be (relatively)negligible at that point, as player rosters will have (or should have!) have solid 2* chars and be transitioning to 3* chars.
Perhaps amp up the enemy levels on subsequent playthrough(s) - not scaled, but fixed increase in level (as players will have "better" teams)
The best part, IMHO, is that there will always be the non-competitive casual pick up and play aspect - no time pressure, no leaderboards, no grinding. Dare I say it - the game could actually have a truly enjoyable element again. If one is not enjoying the game, they are not playing, and if they are not playing - there is 0% chance of any revenue generation (from said individual)
Oh, and maybe have a weekly 1* 36h tourney - Friday aft. / Saturday. or some other day that ends in "y".
Them's my thoughts.
Thank you in advance for reviewing.

That would be extremely good, and the easiest suggestion I have seen to date for how to add perpetual PvE.
While I whole-heartedly agree on the covers given out, there would likely have to be some balancing done on the HP - the Prologue is so generous with them it'd be completely out of whack with what events/tournaments offer (not that I'd object, just that D3 probably would! ).0 -
yeah, some kind of NG+ would be cool.0

It would be great (and yes Daredevil is useless if the opposing team has no character needing the colors he can trap), so outside of PvP, hard to use0

Something like this would give the much needed longevity to PvE content. Although I'm not so sure anymore if the devs can deliver it without serious flaws...0

This is an excellent suggestion.
I'd even be happy enough if they removed the covers you won during your first playthrough. Replace them with boost packs instead or maybe even covers for some of the less played character that you want players to use more.
I think they should keep the HP rewards as rooster places go up in cost therefore the HP you got in prologue probably won't last more than 2-3 spaces once you've already recruited 20+ heroes.0 -
This is an awesome idea, especially re: the pseudo-respec aspect of it. I could build another Thor from scratch if I could play through it again.0

I actually sparked up another account, playing through the Prologue from scratch again. And it is fun and enjoyable, rife with cheesy dialog, and wondering how to beat level 5 goons with level 3 heroes...
... and what you see is what you get. no cranky MMR. no 3am shifts to cover off the optimum 8h reset. no more testing the breaking limits of the Otterbox phone case... just Clint acting dodgy about Tony's cars....
yeah, I'd pay money for that...
(well, I actually already have, but it sounds better that way)0 -
I totally agree! Everytime you 100% complete the prologue it should reset. Though perhaps it should scale each time. First time threw normal, second time 50% buffed, second 100%, etc.0
