Regarding the recent survey - buying covers

Middle ground on this issue might be to make those "purchase covers" buttons inactive until some aggregate number of covers have been collected. For example, you wouldn't be able to directly purchase any Carnage covers until you had collected 5 or 7 of them via rewards or tokens.

This is effectively what most people are doing anyway. For the whales buying a few 42x packs to acquire one of each color, there's not much you can do to stop them short of limiting the number of packs that can be bought.

    I don't get the impression they have any concerns with people buying multiple 42-packs. The math is actually a lot more favorable for them if token packs become the only way to whale up a character.

    In the status quo (using brotherhood tokens) Someone would need to open ~900 tokens to get 1 of each color. That's average based on odds and even distribution. They could open 1x 42 pack, odds say its closer to 22x packs. Once that's done they can just buy 10 single covers @ 2500 HP each.

    packs: 22x15,800 = 347,600 HP
    + singles: 10x2,500 = 25,000 HP

    Even if you switch to prodical sun tokens you are still opening 300 tokens to get 1 of each color. (7x 42 packs)

    packs: 7x15,800 = 110,600 HP
    + singles: 10x2,500 = 25,000 HP

    This is almost identical to the broken thinking they rolled out when they got rid of the guaranteed copy of the featured character when you bought a 10 or 42 pack. (That people liked the risk which is why they bought more... no, they bought more because the first pack didn't have a copy of the character they *needed* to play the event.)

    I would encourage anyone who hasn't already taken the survey to view that question through the lens of someone who has been playing for a few months instead of as a new player. At some point all of you might eventually find yourself 1 cover away from having a finished character. Vote in a way that preserves your option to easily rectify this problem with a small amount of HP, instead of locking all of us into buying lottery tickets for a chance to hopefully be done(token packs).
