REFUND Our Money Developers! Boycott Thread.

There are SO many threads on why I'm/we're asking for a refund. I don't think it's necessary to re-explain anything.
Btw, I don't expect any refund in cash. It's just titled to get the developer's attention. The purpose of this thread is to boycott their micro-transactions.

If you spent/wasted any considerable amount of money on this game, I'm sure you feel me.

Let's stop supporting the developers now. It's time. They don't give a sh*t about our money, or else they wouldn't have done what they have done.
If you're with me and no longer want to support the developers financially (at least until they start respecting our money and fix the game), PLEASE do not purchase any more ISO or HP. Not another dime to the developers.

Also, please +1 on this thread if you agree, so developers know how many people feel this way, JACKED. Maybe with enough people and a steep decrease in their micro-transactions, we'll get their attention. icon_mad.gif

Haha... good advice. Maybe I should just cool it and forget about it... not like developers even give a sh*t. Live and learn I suppose.

I'm with you. I was about $40 into this game but won't spend anymore until changes are made. I can live with the nerfing but the rest of the monetizing went too far.

Yeah... doubling the costs of stockpile boosts is ridiculous. HP for boosts is even more absurd. Without using boosts, it's hard to even get up high enough in the tourney to gain any ISO/HP rewards. And if you start using boosts, say good bye to leveling up your roster. You'll just keep going down till you go broke. Even if you win every match that you used the boosts on. I wonder if the developers even play their own game. They probably play with unlimited amount of ISO/HP so they have no grasp of how real world players play.

The only solution is to spend cash. But we're scared to do that as well because we don't know when we'll be hit with the nerf bat, making that money go to waste. What are they thinking? *sigh*
It's a hard task to EARN other peoples' money. And MPQ developers are clearly lost. Hopefully they'll start reading our feedback and do something about it before they lose all their player base and their company goes south.
They're probably thinking they'll get fresh players to replace us. Well think again, we're not gonna just sit here and let them sucker new players into their greedy scheme.
  • Count me in. Ever since I found MPQ 6 weeks ago I've been playing intensively and invested approximately 150 dollars to this game. Well, no more. I'm gonna take a healthy break and see if things turn better in the future. If not... Good riddance.

I see. I guess that thread wasn't enough to get the dev's attention. icon_e_sad.gif
I think we need to voice our opinion more. Maybe even call our credit card companies and say whatever we spent the money on was taken away and file a claim against the devs. Why not? They clearly didn't appreciate our business.
Too bad for me, I was starting to spend too much so I bought pre-paid Visas to hide the evidence from my wife.. haha.
Most credit cards should have a protection plan on the purchases you made with the credit card.
One idea to combat the dev's greed.
  • I am seriously thinking on quitting altogether at this point. I have downloaded Hearthstone by Blizzard and it's a great game. The developers of this game are mind-blowingly silent in light of people feeling cheated by them. Sorry but if my reputation was at stake I think I would speak up. They have already stated they will be charging ISO for skipping which will make the game totally unplayable for me so whats the point until then. I am even on the forums less today. They claim the care and don't want to lose players but they have had more than ample time to address this with the community so that indicates to me it really isn't that important to them. I am also debating pushing for a refund at this point. IceX not sure if you are an employee or what but if you have a line of communication with them and they really do give a damn, now may be the time to try and push for a response. I am sure there are many others feeling just like I am especially after what I have been reading for over a week.

Yes, people buy ISO-8. I purchased $49.99 of it. Why? I fell in love with Wolverine and just had to get him to lvl 85. Well, let me rephrase that. I fell in love with MPQ, then I fell in love with Wolverine's lvl5 yellow ability (green and red was good too). It allowed me to play the game much longer because of the auto heals. 5 Health Packs went by very quick before I got my Wolverine. I wanted to play the game as much as possible.

I don't think I got hooked on a game like this ever since I quit college to hit ladder rank #1 on Diablo 2 USWest nearly 14 years ago. MPQ was that good to me. It's been a little over a month now with 559hrs played on MPQ (Steam). Heck, I even have another account of MPQ on my mobile Android phone so I can play when I'm away from home. I'm a serious gamer (or a game addict, rather) since I was very little. Arcade owner used to kick me off the game with my quarter refunded when I was 7 years old because 1 quarter would last me all day (Street Fighter, people were challenging me non-stop, allowing me to continue playing). Yes, I was an addict that young. I used to ditch after-school private art & piano lessons to go to arcade at that age. I've played countless games and was addicted to too many in my lifetime. I have NEVER felt so cheated out of my time and effort like how D3Publisher managed to pull off. I'm just glad I didn't dump $500+ on MPQ before they robbed me of it.

When I play games, I don't really care how much I spend unless it's reasonable and I'm enjoying it. I don't "pay-to-win". I just spend enough to get me going. To be honest, I don't spend unless I'm already addicted to the game, and MPQ managed to get me hooked in mere few days. I wanted to be able to compete in the tourneys and have a shot at getting some better covers but I only had a level 50 IM35 with 40 BW. Wolverine seemed like my savior. After getting some Wolvie covers, I just had to get some ISO-8 to get him into my main team (or my only team at the time). Is there something wrong with buying ISO-8?

I guess the disappointment was bigger to me because I had bigger love and expectations from this game. I was originally going to buy a Xbox One before getting hooked on MPQ. Then I decided to spend the money on MPQ instead of the Xbox One because I saw big potential in this game. I bought tons of character slots to collect every character in game. I knew they were going to be adding new heroes and villains and that really got my hopes up. I planned to get every character to max level eventually. I suppose D3Publisher did me a favor by wrecking the game now than later.

Hey, thanks for mentioning Hearthstone. I completely forgot about that game coming out. I just downloaded it and gonna give it a try. I have always been a huge Blizzard fan. Every Blizzard game got me disconnected from the real world (although I think their last best game was D2). My friends call to check if I'm dead or alive when I'm playing Blizzard games. Now that's a real developer. haha..
D3Publisher.. pfft... shame on you. You could have had our support.

No problem it was recommended to me by someone here. Same with Might and Magic and Solforge both of which are excellent. Checkout the kickstarter for Hex if you really want to see something cool.
  • You guys are lucky. I got a 4th gen iPod, and I swear apple sent out an update that any new app I buy crashes constantly. So I'm stuck with this (and about 90 other games icon_e_biggrin.gif )
