Can a specific player be attacked in PvP?

I was wondering if there was a way that a player could search me out specifically to attack.

Yes, but they would have to be in the same Time slice as you, approximately the same level roster as you (unless you are over roughly 600 pts and can be seen globally) and have ISO to burn skipping through opponents to find you when you're unshielded.

Sometimes the Matching gets stuck on the same four or five opponents, which makes it easy to double or triple tap someone. But finding a specific person can be very hard / expensive otherwise.

it seems the higher I get the more the pool of teams mmr is pairing me with shrinks to ~6-8 teams or so. and this is on all 3 nodes. I haven't gotten to where I had no winnable opponent yet, but some have been painful. but I found that if I push through, another group sometimes shows up that is sometimes easier - go figure. by then I need health packs to regen though.

If they can find you once it's more likely they can find you again, either on purpose or on accident, and vice versa.

The higher you are and the more you play around a particular timeframe, the fewer other equal unshielded targets are going to show up.

So let's say that there are 100 of us playing in your slice over 600 points. Of that 100 players, perhaps 5% are currently unshielded and will potentially be queued up for a player looking for an opponent. They get to choose between you, and four other rotating teams. Granted that rotation changes dynamically as players shield or drop too far to be attacked, but that's it in a nut shell.... as I understand it.
