Actually, I do shield in Simulator. There are two reasons to:
1. Only if you are seriously going for those two 3* covers at 2300 and 2400. You will need a max 3* roster (possibly verging on 4*) and will need to shield hop in the last day or so to prevent people from stealing your points.
2. If you are close to placing in Season bracketing and are getting hit in Simulator for more than you can make up, shield in the last 3-8 hours. I should have put up a shield last season and was planning to, but I fell asleep at the 4-hour mark, lost about 150 points in those 4 hours, and was #27 in Season instead of #25. In retrospect, 150 hero points for another 10-pack might have been worth it.
If you are just getting an absolute beatdown at any point before the last day, you have pushed too high for your roster strength at that particular time, and you need to lose down to a point level where you don't invite so many attacks.0 -
I seldom push past 1K in simulator, but from my understanding most people push the simulator on the last couple days to make up their points for the season. If season score is your goal and the simulator points are what will get you there, then by all means shield at the end how ever early you feel comfortable.
If you are going for purely the progression rewards, maybe shoot for those early, before the last couple days of the season and only shield when you are noticing you are losing as much as you are gaining... but the goal is to hit progression then let it go. I can't see shielding over 18 days in simulator, just seems like a waste.
This is just my opinion as I do not typically go past 1K in simulator, and I've only ever shielded in 2 PVP's.0 -
I just don't play Simulator until the last day of the season after the last PVP event. No reason to play it if you already reached 4000 for the 10pk plus the rewards are horrible and you'll never reach the 3*. I join it if I am over 3000, I can easily gain 800-1000 in a few hours on the last day. It's not worth losing points everyday. Remember you won't lose points if you haven't started the event!0
