Too many changes too fast?

I really got into the game the past couple of months and did pretty well in PVE and PVP... I've spent a little bit of money on the game - I always feel that a good game that sucks my time deserves a fair amount of support.
But in the last couple of weeks, I am not enjoying the game as much as I have - it is losing the fun factor for me. I understand the need to evolve a game and mechanics and the eternal balance challenge, but I'm thinking that there's been too many recent changes in all aspects of the game. I'm not going to rant on the recent nerfs - I believe they were necessary: I rode the two hero horses really hard like a lot of people as they were my best bet for competing (even as I got tired of playing them and seeing them in almost every match-up) and in fairness, I don't think they were nerfed as I was afraid they might have been. And I'm very glad actually to see less of Rag's rage inducing, repetitive spam cascades.
But the continuous changes to the mechanics for both PVE and PVP is driving me crazy - every event or tourney nowadays theres something new... and half of it I can't figure out if "it's working as 'really' intended" or broken. And I am having this annoying gut feeling that a lot of these changes is driven to spend more money behind a guise of "player matching balance and consequences" - don't have a daredevil to compete in the latest tourney? Spend $50 to get a guaranteed one! That will only be level 15 and still won't be able to compete against lvl 100's!
My feedback to the dev's:
- Be more transparent on the matching mechanics - as it is now, I think it's broken and really not interested in playing as much: less fun, less incentive for me to play, less incentive for me to support your app.
- When you make major changes to characters - allow an option to refund covers instead of just selling for iso: I worked too hard to get those covers to start over to rebalance a different way.
- Last, my opinion is that 3 star heroes do not match up quite as well as the 3 star villains... I like all their game mechanics, but I think in straight up, even level 3v3 battles, villains will easily win more than 50% of the time, because they do not have the "balance detriments" that the heroes have. Which I understand is also why they're really rare and a part of the lightning rounds - but then what is the point of the star ratings of covers?
