Facebook Bonuses

I have about 600 facebook friends, pretty much all via MPQ links.

Yet the rewards I give and receive from the game seem to be to the same small bunch of people.

Facebook save data is ok.

I probably get about 1500-2000 ISO worth a day, but as that's from the same group of people I think I should be getting much more.

Is this right?

Something has definitely changed. I too had a few hundred mpq only friends and recieved about what you do. A month or so ago it reduced to maybe one reward a day, from maybe 3 different people. I didn't change a thing. I recently deleted a bunch out of frustration, going to try and get less than 10 dedicated friends to share with.
  • I think they reduced the frequency that the popup shows up. Granted, I don't get any benefit from it anymore anyway, since no one in my network still plays MPQ, but I remember the reward-share popup happening more frequently in the past.

Yeah maybe they limited it - I heard stories of people getting 10k a day

im fine if they reduced the frequency and bump up the limit on what prize could be given it would be awesome to share 3*+ tokens pulls or rewards, or when you buy stuff it gives you one to send to a friend

Yes they do. My alliance members are all helping each other out and I'm unable to help them or recieve help.
I don't want to sound entitled here...but if the facebook guys are getting 1500-2000 ISO a *day* that unbalances things a bit.

For those of us who determined that facebook sucks, and disentangled ourselves from that hellscape some time ago...what are you talking about? You get bonus ISO based on how many facebook friends you have? And you get how much? Seriously?

is there a way to add people just for mpq bonuses, but not as actual FB friends?
  • to OP i think it is the discard button.

I think this is half of a "grass is always greener on the other side" scenario. I think most of us facebook users would gladly trade the extra shareable iso for the full screen that steam users have. icon_neutral.gif

What is your facebook name? I will add you and send stuff. Mine is Spatenfloot Mpq

Also adding lots of people does no good if they never select you as the person to send the reward to, which is unlikely if they have hundreds of facebook friends.
  • I setup a dummy FB account a couple of months ago, then went and added my name to a list to grab MPQ friends. It lasted about 3 days before FB caught on and locked the account down. They have a neat little 'who is this?' game they spring on you, and if you can't identify a few profile pics of the people you've friended (which was pretty hard because most people are using a MPQ logo and not an image), boom. If you do decide to try it, only add friends/send friend requests in small bunches every other day or the same thing will likely happen to you.

Well, the FAQ says you have to contact customer support. ... Customer support, on the other hand, says:
We would be happy to explain how to change the backup data associated with your Facebook profile!

    - Please Force Close the game.
    - Make sure you are logged out of the Facebook app and web browser on your device.
    - On a computer or separate device, log into the Facebook account that you want to clear the backup data from.
    - Click on Games>Apps>Marvel>Settings>Remove.
    - Launch your game.
    - From your device meant for play, log into the Facebook profile you wish to be linked.

I went through that rigmarole with CS trying to transfer my save date from one FB account to another. It didn't work.
  • I agree that i seem to be getting less and less rewards from FB friends, although i'm guessing it could come down to a few possibilities:

    1) A lot of people have stopped playing on my list of "friends"
    2) People are hitting discard button instead of sharing
    3) The list of players on their FB list is so large that the prizes are spread extremely thin between each player (not to mention, you can't hand pick who you send gifts to, MPQ just fills in the "x" amount of slots for you, so i have a feeling a lot of times i'm sending gifts to accounts that haven't been played in a while

It's pretty bad when customer service can't help you with something so simple. Here, this should work for you: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=24666
