AI AP slider

Feel free to also discuss the benefits/drawbacks to each version.



And please, please dont say that they should figure out coding a landscape option.....we all want that and bringing it up is salt in the wound.

    I liked the old one. it was more morbidly satisfying to see the numbers come up after an apocalyptic flashing lights ai cascade.

    Also was useful to know what Hood/obw etc were leeching from you, or what you were getting from the enemy.

    I think the AP slider is OK, but what will make it perfect is this:

    1. Slide the entire top of the screen so that the slider is visible for the team whose turn it currently is.
    2. Blink the number of the color whose amount changed.
    3. For skills like Espionage and Energy Absorption, slide the opponent's bar for a couple of seconds like it currently does.

    I am not sure about the blink on number 2, but to highlight the color that was changed with either a green for positive or red for negative would be good. It should last a second or two also. But I would also like to see a total of how much it changed by. Ultron has invaded the game and does let the AI cheat still. icon_lol.gif

    I would prefer the old AP slider when I steal/drain AP, otherwise it's not horrible after the enemy matches their tiles.. regardless there still needs to be a better way to implement the AP bar for us... just let me turn my phone sideways so I can see everything!

    Definitely prefer the old horizontal slider.

    I would prefer a permanent display solution that gives an indication of the delta in some manner. I leave details up to people who are better at UI design than me, but I've seen quite a few good suggestions on this board.

    The new one looks nice but I want to know what I took or what they took. I can always slide the screen to see what their total ap is if I want.

    Oh......and I wonder if they did this, so that we would no longer be able to screen cap the RIDICULOUS cascades that the AI gets and then post them on here and complain about it.

  • The old way was better but as many of us have asked since finding the forum just display AP all of the time.

    I've resorted to trying to stare at the colored bars under the characters because they ever-so-slightly blink because they were changed (either by the steal or by the gain)... unfortunately most of these get blocked by the animation so you can only see it on the characters whose icons are on the edge of the screens.
  • real fix, both team AP shown all the time ( maybe there's no need for slider at all), but i agree with old one. and the game has blue frame on the left and right if this can be thrown off perhaps both team ap can be shown much like steam version but vertical.

    Stealing/draining attacks feel less satisfying with the new banner. The old banner was great for an evil grin when your She-Hulk managed to drain 14 green AP from a rampaging Thor, or your Hood struggled to keep the enemy *one* needed AP away from launching something nasty, turn after turn. I don't understand why we can't have both - (options menu - new/old/none/both) maybe they're worried about information overload.

    Pretty much this. The old solution was easier for me to keep track of changes in ap. With the new system I feel like I have no idea what the enemy gained/lost. Just a WAY too quick look at what they currently have.
