Squirrel Girl or Kamala?

Both girls are yellowtile.png/ purpletile.png/ greentile.png, both have health-preservation, both can shake up the field

...and both have odd-looking art icon_eek.gif

For a 2-3 * transitioner (level 100-120), which one is worth bringing along?

Personal Query:
My main is Blade, so their purple wouldn't be used as much b/c Blade's purple cleans house. Squirrel Girl's green sounds really fun and could add some unique things to the field, but I'm not sure it really compares to Kamala's AOE.

  • Kamala by a landslide. She is surprisingly nasty at max level. Powerful team attack, green generation, and really annoyingly strong and frequent healing means you need to take her out first and fast. This is why you will see a ton of people with her maxed in pvp these days about zero people with Squirrel Girls.

I would say squirrel girl because if her greenflag.png and purpleflag.png are maxed they are killer on offense. And her yellowflag.png can really keep your other characters from using health packs.

    Kamala by a landslide.

    This.
Kamala provides some of the best support in the game AND holds her own when needed.
  • Squirrel Girl is quite good, but Kamala can easily be considered as overpowered.

Kamala, mainly because her heal & ability chaining makes her less fragile = she can be used more times without healthpacks than Squirrel Girl.

otherwise, Squirrel Girl isn't so bad, but priority should go for Kamala.

Kk.sg green is really good but as an all around offensive/defensive character kk is one of the best 3 stars (better than some 4 stars) on mpq right now.

to me squirrel girl is an excellent counter to anyone that spams many special tiles - blade, mostorm, patch, etc. her purple is crazy high damage if there are special tiles out. her green is good but a little expensive (and sometimes doesn't last to the end) and her yellow is strong but only lasts a handful of turns sometimes. KK is good all around - healer and a feeder to aoe damage. you can apply KK to many many teams (especially fully covered/leveled), but SG is more a specialist.

Why not both? Kamala is better overall, but both are useful.

Put squirrel girl and the hood on the same team with CMags and you have a rainbow team with the only color is overlapping is yellow. And the yellow can either a major offense or annoying defense.

If they are building a PVP team, the AI will horridly mess this up.

Upside, Kamala's yellow is passive, so if used together, SG puts down shields and Kamala heals... but turn over.

Yes, I like combining actives and passives of the same color. True, the turn ending part isn't the best, but generally there isn't much else for the AI to mess up for SG. Kamala's purple requires skill in placement, which the AI never gets right. Anyway, I just meant keep both, not use them together since there is too much overlap.

Read in another thread earlier.. SG yellow is great when you have no viable move. If there is only 1 possible move, but it sets the AI up with a match 5 or the AP needed to decimate you.. use her yellow to end your turn , get some protects out of it, and force the AI into making the bad match.

That's true. I hate when there is only one move left on the board which sets up the enemy AI.
  • I've no doubt that KK is actually better, but I really enjoyed SG when I got to use her super-loaner, ended up winning 3 of her covers in PvP, and have been enjoying her much more than I previously thought I would (she's at 6 covers now).

    It's like the world's happiest accident! icon_e_biggrin.gif

Oh, and that yellowflag.png ? It's pretty satisfying to be left with no good moves, see it flashing, and essentially be able to say, "Here's some protect tiles. Do you worst with this **** board..." icon_e_wink.gificon_lol.gif

When the AI is using your team, with both Kamala and SG having a 12 AP green, whose would it choose to use? (hey that kinda rhymes)

lol @ Squirrel Girl. She's a favorite of mine in New Avengers, but KK is Top Tier. It's no contest, really.

KK can do some massive damage with Purple to green. It is also easier to fire her green more than once in the match. Her Green is also not CD tile related so it is always full damage. Squirl Girls yellow also ends the turn and her Purple while strong is conditional.
KK will be the center of your offense, while SQ will probably be your 2nd character you bring and will be based on who you are facing.

It's chosen at random, but feel free to do any rituals you believe to stir the AI toward choosing the less threatening move. I always do that when Ragnarok and Juggernaut both have 6 red.

Khan is definitely the better, even if sg is a bit underrated.

As others have said, Khan is almost always useful, she accellerated a powerful color, manipulates the board, and has a passive team heal. The only thing she needs is a single target nuke (Luke cage and Cyclops say hello). Plus she Has a good active purple, something most damage dealers lack).

Sg has a very good but situational purple, an ok but overpriced green, and a very odd defensive power (that ends the turn!?)
