thoughts on dd

what's your thoughts on dd I have 3 0 3 dd level 64 and really haven't decided how I'm going to build him his moves seem like he really can be a new main character to aid any build damage is nearly 3k for his red purple steals up to 5 ap blue stuns thinking a 5 4 4 build but not sure

  • He'd likely be a force when Spiderman is nerfed. I think his blue 5 max stats would also give us an idea of how nerfed Spiderman's stun will be. Daredevil should have the best stun in the game, simply because you don't even get to control when it works, so that should work as a ceiling of how good stuns can be.
  • Ya once Spidey nerfed my team has to change I use patch gsbw and Spidey pretty wicked force Spidey stuns so I can match enemy strikes then I use GS pink to make green then hit with wolverine repeatedly anyone standing use wolvie red to kill

    I managed to win him, and I leveled the 1/1/1 up to level 20. Then I took him out on some missions in the prologue.

    He's useless against Maggia and Hammer. All his powers are based on traps, and goons can't trigger traps.

    When he dies, his traps stick around. Juggernaut killed him, and then triggered a trap later. It was odd seeing an animation for a killed character. icon_e_biggrin.gif

    He's 11/7/7, so reasonably fast in the post-nerf world. I had no trouble tossing up 4 traps per match, and usually 2 of them would be triggered.

    I like the look of the traps. Animations are okay. Dunno if he'll join the ranks of Spidey, Patch, Mags, Loki, OBW, Ares, Hulk (My current favs), but I'm liking him so far.
  • I wish that the purple power would, you know, make a purple trap. Computers match environment tiles all the time, but i don't think players really use them that much. Makes a very useful skill pretty useless in a critical condition

    I love the mechanic though. That the man without fear sets traps so his opponents are afraid of which tiles to match. And the fact that he essentially makes the other team blind to his attacks as well is just poetic at the very least.

    Honestly, if i could get the covers (and if i knew what ends up happening with his powers as he levels up) I'd make him a starter... ideally with like Spidey and the Hulk... ahhh a man can dream

    This wasn't the case when I used him.

    At least for his blue and red traps, when he dies, all of them disappear and text appears that says "Trap disarmed"
  • He's ***Hawkeye, given the AI couldn't leave a match 4 alone if the game depended on it. It often does, since we all bait it with useless match 4s. Still looks fun to use and the red will be nasty to face, but unless I find him inordinately entertaining he's not getting much ISO in a hurry past the inevitable incoming event buffs.

    I was wandering, the tile activates/respawns when matched, but any 4 match can destroy the other 4 tiles on the same line, and if the trap was in these others it gets destroyed, wasted and does not respawn right?

    Look at the character thread..I already posted that any NON ABILITY POWER activates it. So cascades including 4 match clears..both offensively and defensively (the defensively one was irritating to test lol).

    Thanks for the update - sorry, hadn't checked in there. Well, ouch. I'd assumed blown out lines didn't count because that's so darned powerful. Where did I put my Juggernaut?
