So I'm doing New Scotland Yard. 20 mins to go. Every mission is worth 1 point to me. And I'm coming second. 1st place is 16 points ahead.

How am I supposed to catch up exactly?

    Outplayed how exactly? Did they just earn the extra 16 points by doing 1point missions 16 times?

    That's quite possible or they might have benefited from some rubberbanding

    probably not. depending on where you currently rank, the points that each mission fluctuates.

    Points refresh every 8 hours, depending on how many missions he did vs you in the previous refresh determines where you fall in the end. He might have even had more points in reserve he could have grinded. It is not just about the last 8 hours of the match when you are bucking for 1st. Rubber banding gets you close to the lead, but does not give it to you.

    You could absolutely rubber band to first place in a sub. I did so in pretty much every one of mine and got either first or second to someone who did the same thing but slightly after me.
